Just posted a new video and the whole point is three words: make ugly videos. Here's what I see all the time. Somebody takes two days to script, drags their feet on hitting record, then spends two more days editing. That's a week for one video. Then they skip the next week. So they're getting two, maybe three videos out a month. The problem with that isn't the upload schedule. It's that whatever confidence you built making that video is gone by the time you sit down to make the next one. You need reps. And the only way to get reps is to make the process so simple that hitting record isn't a big deal. Hit record, make the video, upload it. Done. And no, an AI avatar isn't the shortcut. People click off the second they see it's fake. If you're recommending products, people want to hear it from a real person who had the same problem they have. I mess up my words in this video and I left it all in. That's kind of the point. Your challenge: record one ugly video this week. No script, no editing, one take. Hey guys, i was editing my latest video and this is the AI avatar i have decided to go with. It's a custom avatar i generated with Gemini and animated using Elevenlabs. The reason why i ask is because i saw the latest post by David where he said most AI avatars look fake and that the viewer could tell that it is right away. I'm not looking for perfection or to trick my viewers into thinking my avatar is a real person. But i don't want people to click away thinking that it's a low quality video just by watching a few seconds of the introduction either. I wanna hear your opinion on it, and whether anyone knows any tricks to make the avatar look/sound better.

I know I must be patient with my newish channel. But I'm once again wondering if I should keep it or not. It's called Solopreneur Shortcuts, and my first idea was to share tools and tips I use in my business and share affiliate links with them. But that's more of a hobby channel, actually. Because my main business is writing. I have two lists and clearly fiction writers buy more and they DO more. They write. A lot of my IM list buys products and do nothing. Looking for the one. And I need to focus 80% of my time and energy on growing my writers list. Right now I have a strict plan from 7 to 12 every day, four days a week. And 2 1/2 hour of those 20 are taken up by YouTube video creation. I guess that by writing about my question here, I answered my own question. Solopreneur Shortcuts will go to the hobby area with making World of Warcraft gold-making videos. Writing truly is thinking. Should I delete this? Maybe. Or maybe someone else had similar thoughts, so I'll leave it for now.

Sort of, hahaha. It has the most views of them all. Previous big one (about Obsidian) has 80+ views. I think I used an outlier title for this one. Not sure. Ignore the one at the top. It's just a test, same video made with another program.
