I have been fairly straightforward about my views on open source and sovereignty. My list of grievances with big tech and their impact on our lives is well documented, if not personal. It's rare to see the little guy win. A few months back I made a choice to dive headlong into Nous Research's Hermes Agent. I am rolling out a company brain working with our management and have had some concerns about my choice. We operate in that big tech environment, and I personally get to pay the bill every month. It's hundreds of thousands of dollars. So when a company operating in a space filled with gorillas produces a product I can scale my business with using free markdown files and folders with a few hundred dollars in token credits, I get excited. Today Nous announced another round of investment and is going to get the recognition it deserves. Ever since I set up my first working folder, I noticed that I hardly use the model online. I mean, there are times I hop on chatgpt and have a quick one off i want, or a quick question. But for "work" or for deep research to turn into script, video, article or post, I hardly use the models. I was going through Jake's new videos for Foundation (super cool Jake!) and I highly recommend going back through, for the fun of the video as well as the way the information is laid out. That is what raised this topic in my head, lessons 1.2-1.3 use the models on line as Jake's makes his way in validating Files and Folders. Though I know there are members who mix ICM and Co-work and other models. For me, I have it set in the skills that if it needs to access any other models, it has API set and it can go get what it needs. Fun to know how you set up. I will say that I focus more on making content than having to manage data base or other enterprise work flow. While I would very welcome an opportunity to work with others and in a setting that has more complexity than managing content creation. ICM work flow has made my content making time far smoother.

First, thank you @Jake Van Clief and @Bas Rosario for all your hard work and generosity. Reading through this has definitely changed the way I interact with my AI. I'm not a coder or developer, I run several companies and primarily do business development, strategy, and marketing. I live in Claude Cowork as it's portable across devices (I travel a lot for work and don't always carry my laptop). That said, I've built several time/money saving tools with Cursor and Claude Code as well as Antigravity and have a basic understanding of how to use AI. On my machine, I have one top-level folder labeled AI, under which are all my different AI projects, each with its own folder. In the top level there's a Claude.md router which tells Cowork where to go and what to do. Each folder has its own Context.md and other markdown files. I am still building things out, and before I let the agent rummage around I had some thoughts. My questions are: -can I use ICM with Claude Cowork and give it restricted access to my folder structure on my machine? -if you're not coding full-time, but rather designing tools for your companies, is it better to be in Code or Cowork? -does each folder require its own Claude.md file to navigate any subfolders or behave in a certain manner?
