Know Your Customer. Build Better Offers.
Imagine trying to help someone... Without first understanding what they're struggling with. That's what many businesses accidentally do. They spend weeks creating websites. Designing logos. Posting content. Running ads. Yet they haven't clearly answered one simple question: Who am I trying to help? This month we're slowing down. Instead of talking about marketing... We're talking about understanding people. Because the businesses that understand their customers the best... Almost always communicate the best. Create the best offers. Earn the most trust. Throughout the month we'll build something together: The DBR Customer Clarity Framework By the end of August you'll have: ✔ Your Ideal Client ✔ Their Biggest Problem ✔ Why That Problem Matters ✔ Your Solution ✔ Your Core Offer ✔ Your Value Statement One piece at a time. Let's build it together. What type of service-based business do you own? Let's start Doing Business Right! DBR

🍂 GET YOUR FALL SCHEDULE IN PLACE
Every week, I give a short training at a local networking event in front of about 15–25 professionals. I get to cover everything from networking and business to mindset and personal development. Today's topic was simple: Summer is wrapping up. Get your fall schedule in place NOW. This time of year, schedules start shifting. 🏈 Kids have practices, games, and tournaments. ⛪ Church and community activities pick up. 🎵 Concerts and school events hit the calendar. 🤝 Networking events get busier. 📈 Business deadlines and milestones are approaching. It's easy to say, “I'll figure it out when we get there.” Then suddenly you're trying to move three meetings because you forgot about your kid's tournament Saturday morning. 😬 Take some time now to map out the next few months. Put the important personal events on the calendar. Add your key business milestones. Schedule the networking events you want to attend. Block out time for the things that matter. Your calendar isn't just where you record your obligations. It's a tool for intentionally deciding where your time goes. Wrap up those remaining summer tasks and start planning your fall. You'll be much more productive when you're working from a plan instead of constantly reacting to what's next. 👇 What's one important thing you already know needs to go on your fall calendar? 🎯 KNOW YOUR CLIENTS: What DON’T They Want?
We’ve talked about what your clients want. We’ve talked about their biggest problems. Now let’s flip the question: What do your clients NOT want? And I’m not just talking about your product or service. Think about the experience of working with you. Your clients may NOT want: ❌ To wait days for a response ❌ To feel confused about what happens next ❌ To be surprised by unexpected fees ❌ To sit through unnecessary meetings ❌ To learn complicated software ❌ To feel judged for what they don’t know ❌ To chase you for updates ❌ To feel like just another transaction Sometimes creating more value isn't about adding more. It's about removing the things your client doesn't want. Think about your own business: What frustration, inconvenience, uncertainty, or extra step can you REMOVE from your client's experience? That answer might be just as valuable as asking what else you can give them. 👇 What is ONE thing your ideal client absolutely does NOT want when working with someone in your industry?
