God Is Our Salvation
God wants us to bring to Him our burdens. However, the problem is that we often hold on to our burdens. Holding on to our burdens often brings anxiety, frustration, fear, disappointment, and mental anguish. It is often more harmful than good to hold on to our worries, anxieties, and stress. We need to allow God to be our salvation, allowing Him to see and carry our burdens. God is our salvation. That salvation comes by releasing our sins, anxieties, difficulties, insecurities, failures and trusting Him with it all.

Faithful Even in Anguish
What does the Bible actually say about crying out in distress? Consider three biblical examples. Example 1: Jesus Christ Matthew 27:46 records Jesus crying out to his Father while suffering on the torture stake. Jesus was expressing profound anguish. His cry did not mean that he had lost God's approval. In fact, Jesus remained faithful to his Father until his death. What does this teach us? A cry of anguish is not proof that someone has lost God's favour. Even a perfectly faithful servant of God can experience extreme distress. Example 2: Stephen Acts 7:59, 60 records Stephen praying to Jesus and asking Jehovah not to hold the sin of his executioners against them as he was dying. Stephen was being killed because of his faith. His final words demonstrated his trust in God and his concern for others. The account does not establish that a person's manner of dying determines their standing with God. Example 3: Jesus' executioners Luke 23:46 records Jesus' final words as he entrusted his spirit to his Father. His death fulfilled his faithful course of service. The important point is not whether someone dies quietly or cries out, but whether we have a sound biblical basis for judging their spiritual standing. We do not.

Do Not Rejoice In Evil
As children of God, we should not rejoice at injustice. We shouldn't hope for people to "get what they deserve." Because God doesn't give us what we deserve when we mess up and fail. We should be quick to show compassion, extend mercy, and care for injustices done to others. Jesus cares about injustice, people being taken advantage of, people being mistreated, so we should as well. All of us have a role to play in caring for our neighbors and loving others well, even those that are not easy to love. Let us love well with our words and in our actions.

God Is At Work
God is at work in the lives of those of us that love Him. Even when we don't see it or feel like it. Our difficulties, mistakes, and failures are opportunities for God to work through. Let us trust in God's purpose and plan, even when it's difficult to understand or see. God has a purpose and plan for us. But, we have to trust in that plan and purpose, even when it feels difficult.
