I completed the Trainings TIARA, Family Mastery Academy, and Family Mastery Mastermind
Takeaways.
TIARA
- Anger is part of our emotional guidance system. It is not bad or wrong, not to be invalidated or repressed, and it points to a desire or a need that is unfulfilled.
- Attuned Anger Management is where you establish a safe space, share experiences, projections, align desires, and collaborate for solutions. So that everybody is seen, heard, and satisfied.
- Solving problems for kids steals their Agency. I was raised in a family where my parents solved problems for several of my siblings and they are now having problems functioning in life. I am standing for healing in my family of origin.
- What replaced connection for me when it wasn't available? I don't need them. I'll find my own things to do that inspire me.
- The concept of Engagement quality. That Isolated Consumption deregulates and Relational Engagement regulates.
- The concept of Askability. Being open and safe for kids to share anything.
- Family Structures. Wondering what mine was. I think it was Stable and Dysfunctional.
- And the amazing thought that when one person shifts, everybody shifts. I want to be that! for my family!
Family Mastery Academy
- The differences between the Attunement Model and DSM. That problems in people come from problems in the bonds in the family.
- The idea that there is a relationship between child reactivity and the parent child relationship.
- Behavior as a response to unattuned environments. How can I apply this to my school?
- The idea that anywhere you apply Attunement there will be improved relationships.
Family Mastery Mastermind
- The idea of Attuned everything, attuned schools, attuned mental health, attuned prisons, where we are attuned to people.
- The concept that a parentified structure lacks intimacy. I think I came from a parentified structure and that I had no awareness that I was in that structure. That I will need to disrupt the status quo. I am confronting that and ready to step into that. That is a blind spot for me.
