There was a season where I thought progress came from pressure.
If I wasn’t pushing harder, I assumed I was falling behind.
So I added more.
Every hour of my day was accounted for.
But underneath, I was running on fumes.
Eventually, I hit the point where I was doing everything right and still felt stuck.
Physically drained. Mentally fogged. Emotionally disconnected.
That’s when I realized:
I wasn’t building momentum. I was gripping.
I wasn’t operating from power. I was forcing it.
STAGE 1: FORCE. THE ABUNDANT ENERGY OF CONTROL.
Force comes from fear.
Fear of slowing down, fear of not being enough, fear that stillness means failure.
It’s built on willpower and fueled by anxiety.
You can muscle your way to results for a while,
but eventually, the system breaks under the weight of control.
📝Journal Prompts:
→ Where in your life are you trying to force progress instead of allowing it?
→ What’s one area where more control has actually created more chaos?
→ If you stopped gripping so tightly, what would you risk losing, and what might you gain?
STAGE 2: POWER. THE ABUNDANT ENERGY OF ALIGNMENT
Power isn’t about effort, it’s about direction.
It’s what happens when your habits, relationships, and environment are designed for the outcome you want.
It’s quiet confidence, the kind that doesn’t need to prove, it just performs.
🧠 Journal Prompts:
→ What areas of your life feel aligned right now, where things “click” effortlessly?
→ How does your environment (physical, digital, social) influence your ability to stay in alignment?
→ What would your days look like if power, not pressure, was your default?
🧩 STAGE 3: AVOIDANCE — THE DISGUISE OF DISCIPLINE
Here’s the truth: sometimes “discipline” is avoidance in disguise.
For me, that meant ignoring the parts of my process that actually needed attention —
nutrition, recovery, stress..... and pouring all my effort into training,
because it was the part that felt safe and familiar.
I told myself I was being consistent.
But really, I was avoiding the work that would require change.
Avoidance can look productive,
but it’s still resistance... just rebranded.
🧠 Journal Prompts:
→ What areas of your journey do you over focus on because they feel safe or familiar?
→ What uncomfortable area of growth have you been avoiding under the label of “discipline”?
→ If you redirected 20% of your effort toward that one avoided area, what could shift?
🧱 STAGE 4: ALIGNMENT — DESIGNING FOR PERFORMANCE
Burnout doesn’t come from doing too little — it comes from doing too much of what doesn’t move the needle. (hence the heavy emphasis of environment design and habit auditing here)
🧩 Audit your environment:
→ Who or what adds friction instead of fuel?
→ What spaces drain you instead of expand you?
→ Which routines are keeping you busy instead of moving you forward?
Sometimes the people, patterns, and beliefs we cling to
are the very hands holding our beach ball beneath the surface.
🧠 Journal Prompts:
→ What’s one person, pattern, or environment you know is pulling you off course?
→ How would your energy shift if you designed your space and systems to match your next level?
→ What would subtraction, not addition look like for the rest of the week?
🔄 STAGE 5: APPLICATION — SHIFTING FROM FORCE TO FLOW
Practical Reset:
1️⃣ The Subtraction Audit: List everything you’re doing “for your goals.”
Cross out anything that’s obligation, not alignment.
If it’s not essential, it’s interference.
2️⃣ The Energy Ledger: For 3 days, track your energy.
Mark what gives (+) or drains (–).
Your data will reveal what your ego’s been ignoring.
3️⃣ The Environment Check: Look around.
Does your space reflect who you’re becoming or who and what you’ve been tolerating?
🧠 Journal Prompts:
→ What’s one system, habit, or mindset you can subtract this week that no longer serves your direction?
→ Where can you replace force with structure and trust?
→ What would life look like if your energy and actions were finally aligned?
CLOSING REFLECTION:
You don’t ascend by adding pressure.
You ascend by removing resistance.
Force fights reality.
Power flows with it.
Audit your systems. Release what’s holding your potential beneath the surface.
Your power isn’t something you create, it’s something you uncover.
