👀 START HERE: Welcome! 🎼💰
Welcome, friend. You found the place. Let me tell you what this is, because it's not another theory group. There are a thousand places on the internet to learn orchestration, mixing, and which strings library to buy next. This is not one of them! Your music is (probably) already good enough to start. That might be the most controversial sentence in this whole community. This is a place for taking action and finding your Freedom to Compose. Where music gets the best hours of your day, the right people actually hear it, and yes, it rewards you back. 🎼 Whether that means full time, part time, or just a good time. All three count here. Around here we believe gigs come from relationships, not job boards. That composers get connected, not discovered. And that "exposure" is something you die from on a mountain, not a payment method. And that the whole thing, outreach and all, can actually be FUN! Who this is for: Composers who want their music out in the world, their first real gig, or their next substantial one... And are willing to talk to actual humans to get it! Who this is NOT for: Hobbyists collecting courses... Theory debaters... And anyone waiting to feel ready. No shame in any of those. This just isn't the room. Now do three things before you do anything else 👇 1. Say howdy below and tell us where in the world you're writing from. I read every single one! Welcome aboard, you filthy little composer, you. Let's get your music out of the hard drive and into the world. Luke

I want to get YOUR music played…
My dearest composer, I wanna help you get your music used in a movie, a play, TV show or a video game. (or wherever is most appropriate for your music) Idea 💡 Plenty of composers have a folder of sketches that never got a final mix. Others finished the music, but the inbox stays silent. A finished reel is the map. Someone who hires is the door (to getting your music played). If I were to help you finish a demo reel (and show you a proven "system" for finishing music) … 📽️📀🎧 ...and open doors🚪to the people who hire composers I'd... 👉 Walk you through finishing your demo reel on weekly 1 on 1 call 👉 Teach you the "Music Machine" system that will let you finish more music than you ever thought possible 👉 Show you the Giving Funnel, a simple way to reach out to producers by giving first 👉 Actively look for real connections in whatever musical world you're hoping to work in ➕ Access to VIP Freedom to Compose for 6 months(F~R~E~-E) Nothing to buy today. I'm just testing the idea. Would you be open to it? If I opened up ONE SPOT... And set it up 👉 AUCTION STYLE 👈 With $1 minimum bid 🎯 👉👉👉 Would YOU bid for at least $1 ❓ Vote below!

I want to get YOUR music played…
As The Pendulum Swings
This is a piece I wrote, inspired by the pendulum on campus with which I was enamored. One day, in the dread before algebra, I wondered what the tempo of the pendulum might be in 4/4. I calculated it, and the theme came to me. Here is the MuseScore link https://musescore.com/user/86684224/scores/37766870?share=copy_link Please feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks!
Do you like this name?
My fellow composers, I'm curious if you all like the current name of this group.... Here's why. When I started this group, I built it around the idea of getting composers paid. But then I read every single message you all have sent me. And something jumped out. Almost nobody said "I want to get paid." You said things like: "I just want my music to be heard." "I'd love to only need part time work so I could write more." "My dream is scoring a game." And it hit me. Getting paid was never the dream. It's just the ticket... The real dream looks something like this: You wake up when you want. Make your coffee. Walk into your music room and write for three hours. Take a long walk like Beethoven did. Come back and pick up where the music left off. No boss. No alarm. No squeezing your music into the leftover scraps of the day. A whole day, composed by you. Freedom to create when and how you want. That's what this group is really about. The money part just buys the ticket. Personally, composing isn't about money or anything like that. So I've been kicking around a few new name ideas... Can you tell me which one of these you like the best? Vote in the poll below.
