Monday Challenge: Why Are You Saying Yes?
This is where we bring boundaries back—but in a much more mature way.
Not:
"Learn to say no."
We've already done boundaries.
Instead:
Why are you saying yes?
Problem:
Sometimes "yes" isn't generosity. It's avoidance. Avoiding disappointing someone. Avoiding conflict. Avoiding guilt. Avoiding the possibility that someone might think less of you.
Truth:
Every yes costs something. Time. Attention. Energy. Focus. Presence.
Challenge:
For one week, don't immediately say yes to a new request. Pause and ask yourself:
"If I say yes to this, what am I saying no to?"
Then make the decision. Not automatically yes. Not automatically no.
Choose.
Accountability:
Look at your answers from the October Challenge #1, identify one decision/responsibility that you were able to move from the 'Mine' column to the 'Not Actually Necessary' column and comment bellow
"This week I chose not to automatically say yes to: ______"
