Just my thoughts.
Today we are mourning more than just a massacre. Today we are mourning the day our world collapsed. The day we realized we're not even half as safe - in Israel - and accepted - in the diaspora - as we thought.
And the most important thing to do today is to live the life our heros, our Javidnaman (with the permission of my Iranian brothers and sisters, I will appropriate the term just this once - I just can't find a more fitting word) didn't get to live, on their behalf. Hug their loved ones for them. Dance for them. Fight for them. Defend their homes for them. Live out their dreams for them. Keep their memory alive in our children's names. See the world for them. Plant trees and flowers for them.
Take our Jewish revenge - by outliving every single one of those who tried to kill us and leaving them in the dust. Never forget. Never forgive. Never quit. (@Rr Halda, PhD)
Today is the perfect day to show our enemies: we are still living, still building, still on top, we're still here, and you - well, let's just say, soon you won't.
P.S. I know this post isn't collected or anything, maybe it's not even coherent, but cut me some slack. It's October 7th today.
