I finally finished “Send Someone”, which is scheduled for release on October 23rd.

I wrote and produced this song with the original idea coming from the movie "Once". What stuck with me was the connection between two musicians who both had unresolved relationships in their lives. Their romantic connection never really happens, but through music they form something meaningful and eventually created and recorded an album together.

That became the starting point for the song, the idea that sometimes someone enters your life for a reason you don’t expect. Along with that, I interjected some of my own personal feelings about the past haunting me. So in a sense, it’s more of a heartfelt statement than “ear candy” lyrics.

The track started with fingerpicked acoustic guitar and vocal and gradually grew into upright bass, mandolin, violin, and lap steel. Luke Cyrus Goetze (Germany) recorded the lap steel remotely and really added the perfect atmosphere I was looking for.
