I wonder if I should change my routine. Or just change the place where the singe steps take place?
I have the feeling that I should do more of the stuff outside of the ring. And then just step in the ring and perform the throw.... The problem with this is that I sometimes rush the action part.
Full (shooting) routine:
Assess the situation and make a decision.
Walk back to the circle.
SMILE and enjoy!
Feel the shoulder, arm, and body relax. If necessary, make a loose throwing motion.
Breathe calmly (1–2 abdominal breaths).
Stand behind the circle.
Take in the distance and the playing situation.
Step into the circle.
Check the surface and level it if necessary.
Position your feet.
Find your balance and adopt a stable stance.
Take the boule properly in your hand. Place it in the middle of your hand, close your fingers + check!
Feel the weight, grip, and grooves of the boule.
Quiet eye on the target.
Visualize the ideal trajectory of the boule.
See the boule landing against the other boule.
Focus word: “soft”
Throw.
Observe what happens.
Accept.
Analyze.
Close the routine.
