Welcome Everyone
Hey everyone 👋 I'm Adil, based in Toronto, and I run the YouTube channel Raspberry Pi Made Easy. I made one video that kept getting views year after year. That's how all of this started , and it's the whole idea behind this community. That video wasn't better than my others. It was just the one I'd named after something people were actually typing into YouTube. I try to synthesize what’s working out and sharing it here in an easy to understand manner across the various classrooms I'm excited about: 🔹 Youtube SEO 🔹 Helping people get found without ever being on camera 🔹 Sharing what I learned going from 0 → 1.2M+ views on a faceless channel, most of it from search When I'm not tinkering with tech, you'll probably find me: 📹 Creating content 📚 Reading a good book ⚽ Playing soccer If you've got a channel, drop it in the comments , I'll try to tell you what I think your best video is doing right.

💬 Help
📕 Read this first
This community is about one thing: getting your videos found in search. Not posting more. Not luck. Search. I run a small channel about Raspberry Pi. Most of my views come from search, and a lot of them come from videos I uploaded a long time ago. That is the whole reason this place exists , a video that ranks keeps working after you have stopped thinking about it. What you will not find here: hacks, algorithm secrets, or anyone telling you what your views will be. I have no control over the algorithm and neither does anybody selling you one. What you will find: a way to pick a title people are already searching for, and a way to check it before you film. The next ten minutes: 1. Read the six lessons here. They are short. 2. Then go to the Community tab and say hello. One line is enough , what your channel is about, and what you are stuck on. That is it. Go to the next lesson. Quick one so I know who's here 👇

Check 7 video ideas in 7 days (before you film any of them)
Here's something that happens a lot. You get an idea. You film it. You edit it. You upload it. And then almost nobody watches. The video wasn't bad. Nobody was looking for it. There's a way to find that out before you make it, and it takes about ten minutes. You type your idea into YouTube. You read the top five videos properly. You ask three things: is anyone smaller than me up there, are these results old or badly named, and do they actually answer the question? Then you decide. Make it, or skip it. Skipping is a win too. You just saved yourself a weekend. So let's do it seven times. One idea a day, for seven days. Ten minutes each. You post what you found in the thread, and I'll try to share some solid insights By Sunday you'll have seven ideas you actually checked, at least one worth filming, and a title written for it. That's your next month of videos decided by what people are searching for not by what felt like a good idea on a Tuesday. Never done this before? Good. Lesson 2 in Start Here shows you how, with two examples. It takes ten minutes to read. Want in? Comment 𝗜'𝗠 𝗜𝗡 below and I'll DM you the daily format right away.
Same video. Same title. I only changed the picture.
I ran a thumbnail test on one of my videos. Two versions. Same words on both. The only change was the picture behind the text. One took 74.9%. The other took 25.1%. Nearly three to one. And I would have picked the wrong one. One thing to know about that number: YouTube scores watch time share, not clicks. So the winner isn't just the one more people clicked. It's the one that brought in people who stayed. This is free and it's already in your Studio. Content → your video → Thumbnail → Test & compare. You upload two, YouTube splits the traffic between them, and it tells you which one won. No tools. No cost. No guessing. Two days of doing nothing told me something I could have got wrong on my own. Got a thumbnail you're unsure about? Bring it to Idea Hour — Tuesdays and I'll go through it with you one to one.

Hit 4,500 subs.
Hit it on the 15th. The number I keep staring at is the one next to it. 4,500 subs against 1.3 million+ lifetime views. I think I know why, and it isn’t complicated. I do ask people to subscribe. I put it at the end. Then I actually looked at the retention graph. On one of my tutorials the average person watches about a fifth of it before they leave , which makes sense, they came to fix one thing, it got fixed, they left. So my ask has been sitting in a part of the video most people never reach. I think I am dealing with a placement problem. Next few uploads I’m intending to move it. Maybe one ask, in the middle, right after the part where the thing actually works and the viewer is at their happiest. Not at the start, because nobody subscribes to a video they haven’t watched yet. Next goal is 10,000 before the end of the year. Ambitious but possible. Genuinely curious what people are stuck on , answer with whatever comes to mind first. What’s the biggest thing holding your channel back right now?
