ISEL begins with an Islamic understanding of the human being.
Rather than asking how we can manage behaviour, improve wellbeing or develop SEL skills, ISEL asks what changes when we begin with fitrah and understand education as tarbiyah.
It recognises that Muslim learners are not simply minds to educate. They are whole human beings, created by Allah with an innate disposition towards recognising and responding to His guidance.
This community is for teachers, school leaders, wellbeing staff, mentors and others working with Muslim learnerswho want to explore a more deeply Islamic approach to wellbeing, behaviour, relationships and learning.
By joining the ISEL community, you will explore how to:
• see behaviour through a fitrah focused lens
• bring greater rahmah and presence into your relationships with learners
• nurture environments that protect rather than obscure fitrah
• connect with other educators asking similar questions
