Hello
I realized something funny...
Hey everyone 👋 I realized I've been posting in here for weeks without ever properly introducing myself 😅 So... hi, I'm Ann. I'm from Belgium, where I live with my two rescue dogs, Piko and Pina. By day, I work fulltime in finance. Outside of that, I run a webdesign and AI automation business, and somehow I also decided it would be a great idea to build an international community for overthinkers and overwhelmed minds. Very ADHD of me, honestly 😂 I've always loved technology, AI, websites, automation, and figuring out how things work. But alongside that comes a brain that never really switches off. The kind of brain that can have 37 ideas before breakfast, overthink a simple decision for three days, and accidentally turn a small concern into a full documentary series. Over the years I've dealt with ADHD, trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the strange experience of looking perfectly functional on the outside while feeling completely exhausted underneath. That's a big part of why Heavy Minds Society exists. Not to fix people or push toxic positivity. Just a place where people with heavy minds can be honest about what it's actually like living inside them. I'm really glad you're here ❤️ I'd love to get to know you too. 📍 Where are you from? ☕ Coffee, tea, or something stronger? 🧠 What's one thing your brain has been obsessing about lately?

👋 Start Here: Welcome to Heavy Minds Society
I'm really glad you're here. Heavy Minds Society is a space for people whose minds rarely slow down. Whether you overthink, carry too much emotionally, or simply feel exhausted from holding everything together - you don't have to figure it all out alone. There are no perfect answers here. No toxic positivity. Just honest conversations, practical tools, and people who get it. 📚 Step 1: Explore the Classroom Start by looking around the Classroom. You'll find free resources designed to help you better understand your mind, reduce overwhelm, and build small, realistic habits that actually fit real life. Take your time - there's no rush. 🌱 Step 2: Ready for a little more structure? If you're looking for guided support, check out the 5-Day Heavy Mind Reset. It's a short, practical challenge designed to help you calm the mental noise, understand what's happening in your brain, and take your first steps toward feeling less overwhelmed. 💬 Step 3: Introduce yourself We'd love to get to know you. Tell us as much or as little as you're comfortable sharing: - Where are you from? - What brought you here? - What's one thing your mind has been carrying lately? - And what's something that brings you a little bit of peace? Welcome. We're really happy you're here. 💛
I disappeared on purpose
I went quiet this week. No posts, no check-ins, nothing. I was sick. And I've learned the hard way that when my body says stop, I actually have to stop. Fully. Not "rest while still answering messages." Actually withdraw. Which, when you run a business, feels almost impossible to allow yourself. So that's where I was. Pulled back from everything, letting the week be small. I'm slowly on the way back up now. Curious how your week actually went. Not the version you'd tell a colleague. The real one. A word or a number is enough if that's easier.
The next classroom is yours, not mine
I've been thinking about how the next classroom here should come together. The honest answer is I don't want to build it from my own head and drop it on you. That's the old model. Expert decides what you need, you consume it. I'd rather build it from what actually shows up in this space. The stuff you keep circling back to. The things that don't have a clean name yet. So a small question, no pressure to answer neatly: what's sitting on the front of your mind lately? The thing that keeps taking up space, even when you'd rather it didn't. One line is enough. I'm reading, not grading
Weekend check-in 🍀
Honest one: I planned to put new content up this week and it didn't happen. My head was too full. That happens here too, also when you're the one running the place. So no big post from me today. Just the weekend question. Where are you at right now? Drop a number from 1 to 10, and if you feel like it, one word for what's sitting on top. I'll start: 5. Word is "backlog".
