Introduce yourself — tell us your First Stitch story
Pull up a chair. I want to know who you are. Drop a comment (or your own post) below with: 1. Your name and where in the world you are 2. How long you have been stitching (or if you are brand new) 3. One thing you want to make — doesn't matter how ambitious No wrong answers. I will reply to every single one, and so will this community. I will start: I am Danielle. I am in Australia. I learned embroidery from my Nana at 10 years old and I have not put the needle down since. What I want to make right now is a field of wildflowers on silk. One day. Your turn.
Running stitch
Today I did a few more runs of this stitch. And then I used it to attach a piece of fabric to my tote bag. I find myself doing things that apparently have specific names I just don’t know what they are until I see a video lol

Stem Stitch
The dark blue is my practice of the stem stitch. I really like the texture, and it's so pretty!

Relaxing at the airport
My flight was a few days ago. I got to the airport super early, both out of anxiety and excitement, and so I had a lot of time to kill before my flight. I felt like the coolest person at the airport when I got my stitching out! It was such a relaxing way to pass the time, and also on the flight itself too 😊 It's been a few days since I've had a chance to get it back out of its bag as I'm settling in but I'm looking forward to learning the next stitch soon!
