Taking the first swing...
The Brotherhood Forge is for men who feel like the sidekick, not the partner — running someone else's programming instead of their own. If that's you, you're in the right place. Drop a comment below and introduce yourself: your name, where you're from, and why you joined. Then grab 15 minutes with me so I can hear where you're at and get you properly set up here: calendly.com/socurtis1979/15min Check the Calendar tab for upcoming events — more's getting added as we go. This community is brand new, and you're one of the first ones in. More's coming. Glad you're here.
Update with a question...
Been quiet in here for a bit — not by choice. My wife's been in and out of the hospital, and the Forge had to take a back seat to a life priority for a minute. Being that i'm in between the down and it's looking up I wanted to put a post up to show I'm still here. Which, honestly, is its own kind of lesson. Life doesn't ask permission before it interrupts your plans. So here's the question for the week: when something real knocks your routine sideways — health, family, whatever it is — what's the first thing that usually falls to bottom of the list of importance??? Was it the right thing to let drop, or just the easiest one?
Where are you at right now?
Not the highlight reel version — the real one. What are you covering up? What's under the rug? What are you concealing that doesn't even need a permit? Drop one word or one sentence. No context needed. Just unclench.
A tool for thought...
takes 5 minutes, try it right now. Next time you catch yourself about to say "I'm good" when you're not, pause and ask one question instead: "What do I actually need right now?" Not what everyone else needs from you. What you need. Write the answer down, even if it's just one word — tired, space, honesty, help. You don't have to act on it yet. You just have to stop skipping the question. Drop your one word below if you're willing. Let's see how many of us are running the exact same program.
Question of the week...
When something sets you off... You've been triggered and the automatic process is in effect. What is the usual reaction??? Do you come out swinging and screaming? Do you point your elbows and asshole at it? Are you a deer in the headlights? There's never a wrong answer. Just curious about the mix of varied reactions(what causes you to do what), or is it just one reaction to everything?
