I had tried working with others before, but always found myself explaining the same things over and over again. No matter how much effort they put in, something never quite clicked. From my very first conversation with Echika, that felt completely different. "Thoughts?" can get you seventeen completely different opinions. "Does this make it immediately clear who this offer is for?" gives people something useful to respond to. ✦ Giving feedback? Be useful, not brutal. There's a difference between honest feedback and throwing your opinion at someone without context. Tell them why something works or doesn't work for you. Ask questions. Challenge the idea, not the person behind it. And remember: feedback is information. The founder still gets to decide what they do with it.
