Family, this one's time-sensitive, so I want to make sure it reaches you. Manus (the AI agent tool) is separating from Meta and returning to operating as an independent company. As part of that transition, some user data is being deleted between August 23 and August 25 unless it's backed up first. If you've built tasks, workflows, or connected accounts inside Manus, this affects you. THE DEADLINE THAT MATTERS FOR US: the official cutoff is 7:59 a.m. Aug 23 Singapore time — which is Saturday, August 22 at 7:59 PM Eastern. After that, Manus goes offline for affected regions until restoration opens Monday evening (Aug 24, ~8 PM ET). WHO'S MOST AT RISK: anyone whose Manus account was created after Dec 29, 2025, or who changed their account email recently — those accounts can be fully deleted, not just trimmed. Everyone else may lose task data and connectors created after that date. WHAT TO DO (takes a few minutes): 1) Go directly to manus.im and log in on desktop (not mobile). 2) Open the Data Backup Tool at manus.im/backup. 3) Generate your backup and export it to Google Drive or OneDrive so you have a clean copy. 4) If you log in with Facebook only, add another login method first, or you won't be able to back up. PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF — read this part twice: because this is a real event, bad actors are sending look-alike "urgent backup" emails with fake links. Do not click links inside any email about this.
