Learning to Show Up for Yourself
One thing I’ve learned is that rebuilding your life isn’t always about making big changes. Sometimes it’s about keeping the small promises you make to yourself. Getting up when you don’t feel like it. Taking care of your body when your mind is exhausted. Choosing a better response instead of falling back into an old habit. Those things might not seem like much, but they matter. We often wait until we feel motivated to start making changes. But the truth is, motivation comes and goes. It’s the decisions we make on the difficult days that begin to shape who we’re becoming. And rebuilding doesn’t mean you’ll never have another setback. It means you’re learning not to let one bad day turn into giving up on yourself. Something to think about today: What’s one small promise you can make to yourself today that you’ll actually follow through on? It doesn’t have to impress anybody. It just has to move you forward. Progress you can see is progress you can repeat. Therapeutic Wellness Blueprint

Growth Requires Discomfort
One thing I’ve learned over the years is that growth isn’t always comfortable. In fact, sometimes the very things we need to change are the things we resist the most. We get comfortable with our routines, our habits, and even the things we know aren’t necessarily good for us. Not because they’re helping us, but because they’re familiar. But here’s the reality. If we want something different, we have to be willing to do something different. You’ve probably heard the saying, “You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet.” Well, the same applies to our personal growth. Sometimes we have to break old habits, challenge the way we think, and put ourselves in situations that make us uncomfortable in order to become who we’re trying to be. And no, that doesn’t mean every day has to be a struggle. But we can’t expect meaningful change if we’re only willing to do what’s easy. Something to think about today: What is one thing you’ve been putting off because it’s uncomfortable, even though you know it could improve your life? Maybe today is the day you take that first step. Remember, the goal isn’t perfection. It’s progress. And sometimes progress starts with being willing to get a little uncomfortable. Progress you can see is progress you can repeat.

Today’s Wellness Rebuild™ Action. Move With Purpose
Today we are turning the intensity up slightly. The goal is to challenge your muscles, coordination, breathing, and cardiovascular system without leaving you exhausted. Total time: About 20 minutes Effort: 6 to 7 out of 10 Goal: Finish feeling worked, but still energized. 4 Minute Posture and Breathing Prep 1. 90/90 Wall Breathing With Reach Lie on your back with both feet flat against a wall. Keep your knees and hips bent around 90 degrees. Gently press your heels into the wall and reach both hands toward the ceiling. Take 5 slow breaths. Inhale through your nose and try to feel the breath expand your upper back, sides of your ribs, and lower rib cage. Exhale slowly through your mouth for about 6 seconds. Let your ribs soften down while continuing to reach toward the ceiling. Do not force your lower back flat. Think about creating space through your upper back and rib cage. 2. Half Kneeling Reach and Rotation Take a half kneeling position with one knee down. Reach both arms forward, then slowly rotate your chest and one arm toward the side. Return to center and repeat. 5 controlled repetitions each side. Exhale as you rotate. Inhale as you return. 3. Squat With Forward Reach Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Sit into a comfortable squat while reaching both hands forward. Pause briefly at the bottom, then stand tall. 8 controlled repetitions. Use the reach to allow your upper back to expand instead of aggressively pulling your shoulders backward. 15 Minute Full Body Circuit Complete 3 rounds. Perform each exercise for 40 seconds, followed by 20 seconds to transition. 1. Squat to Calf Raise Perform a controlled bodyweight squat. As you stand, rise onto your toes and squeeze your calves. Keep your entire foot connected to the floor during the squat before transitioning onto your toes. 2. Push Up With Reach Perform a push up from the floor, couch, bench, or countertop depending on your ability. At the top, gently push the surface away and allow your shoulder blades to move around your rib cage.

You don’t always need to do more.
Sometimes you need to figure out what’s draining you. Quick check-in for today: Think about the last 7 days. What has taken the most out of you? Your workload? Your sleep? Your relationships? Your own thoughts? Trying to keep up with everything? Not giving yourself enough time to recover? We tend to notice wellness when something finally goes wrong. But usually, the warning signs were there first. Lower energy. Shorter patience. Poor sleep. Skipping workouts. Eating whatever is convenient. Pulling away from people. Feeling like everything requires more effort than it should. Your goal today isn’t to fix your entire life. Identify one thing that has been costing you energy and one small adjustment you can make before the day is over. Maybe that’s a 20-minute walk. Maybe it’s putting your phone down earlier tonight. Maybe it’s preparing tomorrow’s food. Maybe it’s saying no to something you don’t have the capacity for. Or maybe you genuinely need to rest. 👇 Drop yours below: What’s been draining your energy lately, and what’s one thing you can do about it today? Someone else in this group might be dealing with the exact same thing. Small adjustments. Repeated consistently. That’s how we rebuild.
Set the Tone for the Weekend
The weekend doesn’t have to mean abandoning your goals, and it doesn’t have to become another test of discipline. Let it be a chance to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the life you’re working so hard to improve. Move your body because it feels good. Enjoy your food without guilt. Spend time with people who bring you peace. Rest without feeling like you have to earn it. Acknowledge something good that happened this week. Wellness isn’t only about becoming better. It’s also about learning to recognize and enjoy what is already good. Your weekend challenge: Do one thing for your health, one thing that brings you joy, and one thing that helps someone else. What are you choosing this weekend?
