...OR YOU CAN FEED YOUR FUTURE.
Too many business owners spend every last penny trying to look successful:
- The impressive office.
- The expensive car.
- The enormous team.
- The carefully curated social-media presence.
....A polished facade, hiding a financially fragile business.
I’ve mentored thousands of business owners over more than a decade. On the surface, nearly all of their businesses look successful.
In reality, I’d estimate that fewer than 20% are making genuinely great money.
Some are growing.
Many are surviving.
Others are quietly failing.
I recently examined a business turning over £2–3 million every month.
From the outside, it looked enormous and unstoppable.
Look beneath the surface, however, and one badly timed payroll could have pushed it into crisis.
As Warren Buffett said:
“You only find out who is swimming naked when the tide goes out.”
Turnover feeds your ego.
Profit feeds your business.
Cash feeds your future.
If your bank balance, personal wealth or business value isn’t increasing over time, ask yourself the uncomfortable question:
Is your business genuinely working...
....or are you simply working hard to make it look as though it is?
Don’t confuse activity with accomplishment.
Don’t let pride become your downfall.
Build wealth, not the appearance of it.
Are you funding the facade - or building the fortune?
