Here's the problem it solves. You see a layout you like, or you have a mockup, and rebuilding it by hand takes hours. Screenshot to Code is an open-source app (about 80k GitHub stars) you can self-host with your own API key. It rebuilds the page as HTML, React or Vue with Tailwind, and you tweak it by asking for changes in plain English. Honest caveat: self-hosting means paying your model provider (OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini) per generation, and the hosted app is paid (from $15/mo). It gives you the front end only, so you still wire up the real parts.
