MONETIZE YOUR GENIUS
I'm having Phil M. Jones BACK on The Dept. podcast! And it's going to be an absolute masterclass of a conversation about how you can monetize what you already know! We're going live today on Zoom for the recording at 3:30PM PST and we're taking Q&A at the end. So bring a question for either me or Phil! https://luma.com/va2jpngt

SECRET TO CONTENT CREATION
If you know you need to create content for your business but always get stuck on what to post... Art and I break down how to stop treating content like a separate event and start turning everyday experiences into messages that serve your audience. I also demonstrate how an ordinary purchase can become a business lesson and explains what to look at when you’re posting consistently but not gaining traction. LOVE YOU DEPT. FAM

Please help vote for me as Top Podcast Host with Ryan Seacrest
Friends, I could really use your help! 💜 So many of us are giving everything to our work and quietly running on empty. I've been there, and I want to help people find their way back. I'm in the running for my own iHeartRadio podcast, $25K, and a guest spot with Ryan Seacrest. Winning would let me reach so many more leaders with real conversations about burnout, saying yes too often, and leading with joy again. 📍 I'm currently 11th (Top 14%) ⏰ First cut is Thursday, 10/15 at 10 PM ET 👉 Would you take 30 seconds to vote for me? It's free: https://tophost.org/2026/joy-st-john 🔁 You can vote once a day, so I'd be so grateful if you came back tomorrow too 💜 Donation votes also support the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and kids in hospitals

Your client work is your best content. You are sitting on it.
Most creators treat client work and content as two separate jobs. That is the mistake. Your client work is your best content and you are sitting on it. Every project hands you a brief, a constraint, a messy middle, and a finished product. That is four posts sitting in your camera roll, and most of you post none of them. You do not need the client's permission to share the process. Show the timeline before and after color. Post the revision that got rejected and what you changed. Walk through why the first edit did not land. Change names and numbers if you must, but share the thinking. That is what prospects actually buy. A portfolio says you can edit. A breakdown says you can think. Stop trying to sell with your content. Document the work and the content becomes the pitch. The creators winning clients right now are not the ones with the best reels. They are the ones showing their work in public. What is one project from this month that you could turn into a post this week?
