If you’re newer to guitar, or you’ve been playing for years but still can't play across your fretboard because you're missing the fundamentals... I want you to join me. My name is Mike! I am a newly advanced player/student here, looking to share the basics with anyone and everyone learning guitar! You'll find this new space in our "Classroom" section, at the top of the feed. Click in there and scroll until you see the thumbnail Titled: "Beginner Friendly" We’re going to start with the things that make guitar fun: open chords like G, C, D and Em, learning how to switch between them smoothly, developing your strumming and rhythm, and using those skills to start playing songs you actually love. And we're not learning to play them perfectly! Sometimes knowing a few chords and getting the feel of a song is enough to actually PLAY. From there, we can start building the skills that take you further. I will also provide a special roadmap to select players, who are dreaming of advancement, but can't seem to reach it... (you know who you are) I’m creating this as a place where you can share exactly where you’re at. Struggling to switch from G to D? Post it. Can’t get a strumming rhythm to feel right? Show me. We can work through it together. Whether you picked up a guitar six months ago - or - you share a similar story to me, and have been playing for 20+ years but still consider yourself a beginner on the fretboard, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Come learn the fundamentals, build your confidence, and most importantly, start enjoying your guitar in a whole new way! We'll see you here at Intermediate Guitar.
