When you got a mentor that leads from the front its easy to get in behind him to take on the challenges of life!!!!
Recovery Day 6
Sleep, coughing and sneezing have been the worst part of this recovery - The discomfort is real and having to take meds just to sleep is getting old and I still have a long way to go But was cleared to do small walks and light workouts so since I couldnt sleep I got to the gym when they opened and got in what I could Long road ahead but theres no stoppin, just slowing down and pivoting

Overall Wellness is top priority
Still getting my morning rucks in, but the last few days I’ve been putting a little more focus on my mental health. It’s been a really busy few days, but I’ve been making sure I carve out time for breathwork, lots of journaling and some pretty long meditation sessions, sometimes more than once a day. Focusing on mental health is like starting to clean out your pantry. You throw out all the junk, come up with a better meal plan and stock the pantry with good food. It puts you in a much better position, but you still have to do the daily consistent work. There is no one and done magic solution. Being in the best physical shape I can be in for myself and my family is still a huge priority for me. But being in the best place I can be mentally, physically and just overall is even more important. So right now I’m just trying to give that side of my health the same attention and effort I’ve been giving my workouts. However, back to the bingo card today. Getting that blackout!

Very well said 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Looking for advice!
Hey everyone! I started my health and wellness journey at the beginning of this year, didn’t start with the weight loss and body health start with mental health, which is when I got diagnosed with ADHD and other mental all of that being said! I’m looking for advice from you guys if you travel a lot I’ll be going to Texas next month for a family quinceañera no if you know anything about 15s, there’s a lot of good food!! And let’s be Mexican food is not the healthiest!! plus MexTex lol Now my question is what do you guys do when you are taking a trip like this? Yes, I know I can be mindful of my calories but then also don’t wanna be that family member and that it’s like oh I can’t go hang out with you guys because of this! I don’t want that to become my whole personality the whole trip!! Working out pretty easy cause I can just take my weights in the car to the hotel room like that’s not a problem but I’m mainly curious about the food like do you guys just let yourself have that moment in moderation? Or the guys just become that person in the group that is like I can’t eat or you know hold on I gotta look up the macros and it’s just not so mean but I feel like it’s kind of annoying sometimes and I don’t wanna stress myself out as well I don’t know if I’m making sense guys!! But honestly, any advice definitely appreciate it and accepted, and I will definitely be trying everything that you guys recommend!! Also, I don’t know this matters, but I’ll be driving with my 4 year old and like a 14 hour drive 🥲😅

For me the biggest thing Im learning is to plan around events like that. So if I was going to that party my breakfast would be high protein(eggs, yogurt something like that) and then fruit salad as a snack with a protein shake before going - this will allow you to enjoy the food and desserts at the party but also keep you from going overboard - Then enjoy your family time and a protein shake with water before bed to end it The day before and the day after be as close to on point as possible - lots of water Whatever you do dont restrict yourself to the point of unhappiness - yes we have to watch what we do but if you are unhappy more binging can occur than just enjoying a few tacos - and the following day just go back to normal - no need to over do it I hope you have an amazing trip and an amazing time with your family
