I remember when I was uploading my first posters too, it felt like such a long journey. It’s only like that in the beginning though — once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to do everything much faster.
Introduction
Hi Everyone, I had a work accident 6 years ago and had to retire, since then I have been looking for a way to supplement my meager income. Looking around the internet Etsy seems to be the "easiest" way; however, I do understand that it will take some work on my part. Saying that I thought I would create a store selling digital watercolor prints. I did that but have not yet downloaded any products. So I am a bit familiar with how Etsy works. Also, through this effort I have become familiar with Midjourney, love it. A couple of days ago I found a post on FB about Print on Demand posters and decided to take a gander. I've gone through the first 3 videos and it's like a fire has been lit. I've already been to chatGPT and have decided on a niche. And with "chat" I will be able to refine and focus my efforts. I am in the States and look forward to interacting with others here in the U.S. I am curious to know if you are selling only in the U.S.? Are you selling world wide, and how that is going for you? What advice might you have. What I have seen so far of the Community, everyone seems to be most helpful and I look forward to being a part of it. Deborah

@Deborah Gonzalez It doesn't really matter where you're based. And I wouldn't let VAT hold you back either. All orders are handled the same way as orders from the US.

Image editing software
Hello gang. I’m in the process of creating artwork for my Etsy store - wondering what people have found is the best option for software to make basic edits to their posters - resizing / adding white borders / adding text etc I know how to use Photoshop but it’s pretty expensive monthly. Photopea I find a nightmare as it’s v slow and loads of ads. Canva I worry if a basic unpaid subscription will allow me to export as a high enough res jpeg… or would I need to pay for that too? Any advice appreciated! 🙌

That’s strange, I only use Photopea and I almost never see any ads. They only show up occasionally on the side of the screen, so they don’t really get in the way. I’d also recommend downloading Upscayl to upscale your designs and get them to a high enough resolution for printing.
Digital query
Hi, I’m trying to understand how some Etsy sellers are setting up their listings. I’ve noticed physical wall art listings that have an option/variation such as “Digital Email – within 24 hours”, alongside the physical print options. How is this actually set up on Etsy? If the listing is primarily a physical product, how can the seller offer a digital file by email without having to add tracking? More importantly, how does this work with Etsy Star Seller? If the buyer chooses the digital email option, does that order get excluded from the on-time dispatch/tracking metric, meaning it won’t negatively affect the shop’s Star Seller status? I’m seeing established shops using this setup while still displaying the Star Seller badge, so I’d really like to understand exactly how they’re doing it and whether this is an Etsy-supported setup. Thanks!

If the listing is set up as a physical product, when you receive a digital order, you have to mark it as completed and add a made-up tracking number for Etsy to count it as a tracked shipment and prevent it from affecting your shipping stats. Then, you send the design file they purchased to the buyer by email.
Canva
Very new to this and just experimenting at the moment . Is Canva a must or is using Chat GPT enough? Thanks all

I almost never use Canva, but I think a lot of people here use it. It really depends on how you want to work.
