Appreciation
Something I've been doing some nights that can help the morning wake up. Before sleeping, write down 3-4 things that you appreciate. They can be deep or simple; specific or broad. Even appreciating a moment of smiling and laughter you had that day. Or a supportive person or pet in your life. When you wake up, read your list. A little dopamine hit to start the day with. ❤️

@Kat Mul Nice! I hope that you like it and it gives you some va-va-voom going into the next day! 🥰

@Emma Crawford Yay, I'm glad that you connected with it! It is simple, and can help to keep negative thoughts at bay. Our busy minds tend to look at the negatives, it's nice to be reminded of the positives! 🤗
Still doubting to join the next challenge? Read this.
@Martin Hunt had tried the diaries, the apps, the journaling, literally everything. Then day one happened: "In fact, after day one, where we're given some insights, I wept." @Heather Jensen came in burned out, convinced she had to fix that first before anything else could work. She found "a community of people who I don't have to explain myself to and I'd often mask around", and then the week went straight at the source of the burnout itself. @Richard Chambury, London, undiagnosed and stuck on an NHS waiting list: "It's the first time I have ever finished an online challenge like this." @Diana Domantay, 39, Tampa, single mom, diagnosed at 38, calls herself a lifelong researcher: "I stopped searching after completing the five day challenge. And for me, that's saying a lot." @Azmath Syed has been studying therapy since 2020 and joined skeptical: "Honestly, there's nothing else out there like this, at least none that I know of." @Judy Hamilton arrived with "I'm a good starter but I don't finish things." Now: "I'm starting to embrace my new code: I am a finisher." @Dario Costa, Italy, never even thought he had ADHD: one small event from his childhood, the kind you dismiss for decades, turned out to be running the way he works and lives. "This gave me a lot of very deep insight." @Tracy A Weiss is 66 and has worked with ADHD coaches for years: "I think I have learned more about myself than I could ever have hoped for." @Lynn Berry opened her own Reiki practice at 72. And there are hundreds more.... Then the sentence I hear most, word for word, from people who look nothing alike: "I've stopped being at war with myself." Not "I got more done this week." A different relationship with the person in the mirror. That's the level this challenge works on, and it's exactly why it sticks when nothing else did.

🚪 The tiny door that changed my morning 🌞
Some mornings I just open the door and step outside. No walk. No goal. Just… out. 🌿 Bare feet, fresh air, one deep breath. 🌞 Funny how the smallest thing can reset a whole day. What's your tiny reset?

@Teri Connolly Yes, I think he is too! 🥰 I don't have many pictures of him showing his current cloudy eyes that aren't always totally open. Though it shows a bit in the 2nd picture, the droopy eye, which is smaller now. He's a sweetheart, though he's a bit of work like a baby now lol. Just ordered a blind dog halo for him, hopefully it will keep him from bumping his head so much!
Operating Manual Part 2 summary
Staying up late is a kind of self-rescue, a way to guard the only hours where the daily battle is called off. But this late-night freedom borrows against tomorrow's reserves, making the next day feel even louder and more terrifying, which drives my need to escape again. I am realizing I don't have a discipline problem—I have just been putting out fires with gasoline because it was the only thing within reach. My body actually already knows how to find true calm through focused attention, emotional release, and self-witnessing, and the key out of this loop starts with one small morning move. Can't wait to learn the move in part 3! 🤗

@Susan Cal I'm so glad that this resonated with you too! There are so many aha moments of clarity that I often find here. From the programs and from others here in the group. It's quite amazing! You're definitely in the right place 🤗
Missed a day and a dinner roll
📅 Daily Check-in - August 19, 2026 💭 Reflection: "I must be super tired. It's 6:30pm and I was zoning out trying to fill out the checking. I missed again, but I'm back. My state of mind is so weird. It's like I'm in real life and eating a dinner biscuit. It was so real my hands were against my mouth. That's been happening a lot lately. I wonder if all my medications are causing, whatever that is. I don't want to say hallucination because I knkow i twasn't there. So, at this moment, I'm tired, not apparently off to find a dinner roll, should one be here, which I doubt. A man just can't relax. lol Enought to say not. I'll eventually talk to JT again and blow it's gears out with my novels. lol" 📊 Wellbeing Scores: 😊 Happiness: 4/10 ⚡ Energy: 4/10 🎯 Focus: 4/10 😌 Calmness: 5/10 🌙 Sleep Quality: 4/10 🔥 Motivation: 3/10 ⭐ Average: 4/10 ✅ Activities from yesterday: 🌙 Early Bedtime 💧 Stayed Hydrated 🌬️ Breathwork 🍺 No Alcohol ☕ No Late Caffeine 💊 Took Supplements 🙏 Prayer 🌄 No Screentime in Morning 📚 Reading 📞 Called Friend/Family 👂 Active Listening
