now I'm wondering if I got it right
I posted my pricing a few weeks back and got some real talk: the $99 to $197 jump felt like too much of a gap. People couldn't see why VIP was worth it. So I went back and restructured everything around what you actually need at each level. Free Learn AI hands-on. Build something. Hang with other builders doing the same. Premium ($99/mo) Get your first client in 7 days. Stop spinning. Land something real. VIP ($197/mo) Weekly 1:1 calls to get unstuck fast + full recording library Proven client flow system (never hunt for your next deal) Pricing strategy + closing templates to raise rates confidently Personal brand playbook (attract clients without outreach) Business scaling roadmap (1-person → multiple revenue streams) Full community access + option to build your own The idea is simple: Premium gets you your first client. VIP helps you turn that into an actual business. I'm also testing $149 for the middle tier instead of $99. Makes VIP feel like less of a stretch when you're already there. If you run a paid community, I'd actually like to know: does this feel better? What would you change? I'm genuinely curious what lands with you.

@Donna Thornton, quite nuanced for each community, really. Running the test is the best thing you can do 👍

@Muskan Ahlawat I created two new communities specifically designed to take advantage of Skool Growth Boost. I explain how it was done in my free community.

Why I built Cooking Skool
A bit of an experiment, if I'm honest. I saw @Des Dreckett run a growth experiment combining youtubeforskool and it got me thinking about doing something similar here which is part of why the first 100 people can join as founding members for $5/year, locked in for life. After that, it moves to a monthly rate. But the real reason goes back further. I used to be a food tech teacher. I didn't stay in that role long the curriculum got in the way of what I actually cared about: teaching real, useful life skills. My own home economics teacher ( early 1980's) did it right one week she'd demo a recipe, the next week we'd cook it ourselves. imple and hands-on. That's how I learned, and it stuck with me. Not everyone gets that. You either grew up cooking, or you didn't and if you didn't, you're left to figure it out later, badly. That's the gap Cooking Skool fills. Every week: one simple recipe, one shopping list will be shared, with a live cook along (with replay) So same structure that worked for me, just for grown-ups who never got the chance the first time round. Just simple, from scratch cooking, taught properly. So this is my plan and it feels alighned and it's my passion, I will use skool plus other social media to bring in traffic. Also what I've learnt and learning with my The Indian Cooking Club, I will put into practice. I'm looking forward to creating a Cooking Skool ......community https://www.skool.com/cooking-skool-6111

I'm so proud that you are testing this out in public and have the courage to do so. Wishing you all the best with it @Varsha Mistry
🎙️ BEHIND THE BUILD LIVE: Meet Chef Jenny!
What do potatoes becoming ice cream, pumpkin seeds becoming tofu, and building a Skool community have in common? Apparently, Chef @Jenny Rader-Bakos. 😂🍴 And we’re going Behind the Build with her LIVE! Jenny is the creator of Rooted & Wild, a community where she’s helping people build kitchen confidence through easy, whole-food, plant-based cooking. But here's what we're especially curious about... How do you take 15+ years of experience, a personal transformation, a clear mission, recipes, live experiences, and a growing community... and turn all of that into a business? That's the build we want to talk about. Not an interview. Not a polished presentation. Just builders talking building. We’ll get curious about things like: 🌱 Why Jenny built Rooted & Wild in the first place 💡 How she's figuring out what her members truly value 🧑‍🍳 How recipes, cook-alongs, challenges, support, and a whole lot of personality fit together 💰 How she's thinking about value and monetization 🔄 What's working, what's changing, and what she's still figuring out And probably a few things neither of us planned to talk about. Those tend to be our favorite parts. 😂 📅 Friday, August 21 ⏰ 1:00 Central 🔗 Zoom link is in the Skoolology calendar Come listen. Ask questions. Steal an idea for your own build. And if you know another builder who would enjoy pulling up a chair with us, invite them along. They don't have to be a Skoolology member. ❤️ Can't make it live? We'll record it and share the replay. Different builders. Different stages. Different approaches. Real builds we can all learn from. And Jenny, I have a feeling there may be some kitchen shenanigans involved in this one. 😂🎙️

@Varsha Mistry 😅 No problem.
Let's Welcome Varsha!
@Varsha Mistry Welcome to Skoolology! 😊 I LOVE that the thing that caught your attention was our belief that all communities shouldn’t be built the same way. That’s pretty much the heartbeat of Skoolology.❣️ I took a peek at The Indian Cooking Club. Almost 400 members! You’ve already built something people are interested in. Now you want to get them talking, sharing, and connecting more with you and with each other. That’s a fun challenge for us to dig into. 😊 Really glad that post led you here, Varsha. Welcome! 💙
