@Linda Trup Like I said, it's been going on for 20 years (since breastfeeding my youngest son). I have flexible workhours since a couple of years, which helps a lot in the amount of hours I sleep now. But I would like to be able to tell myself: ok, this is a sensible time to go to bed, so let's do this. It doesn't work like that for me unfortunately... I always have things on my mind, but not so that I can't sleep because my head keeps racing. If I would go to bed, put my phone away, leave the TV off, I think I would sleep. That's the crazy thing. The stress of the morning routine pushing my boundaries is not as strong anymore, I only need to take care of myself and like I said, hours are flexible. But I still keep postponing that decision: go to bed. I fall asleep on the couch most of the time... And well, the couch is old, VERY comfortable and completely moulded to my body. 😅 So it's not helping me. It seems so simple, yet my mind makes it into a thing: I still want to read that one chapter (turns into 10), I still want to watch one episode (turns into 3), I'm a bit hungry (munching on chips...). I wish I knew the reason behind this. Or maybe it's because it has become a strong habit in those 20 years.
