This was my birthday weekend, and all I wanted was to be with my kidsโmy 2 grown sons and my daughter-in-law. ๐ฉท Ideally, weโd all meet up and spend the day, or even just an evening, together. Didnโt matter what we did or where. Hereโs how it actually went downโฆ ๐ Friday โ Drove 2.5 hours to watch my oldest son coach football. My DIL met us there. BIG game and a BIG 26-25 win! ๐ We got to see Tyler for about 10 minutes after the game. Saturday โ Helped host a 60th birthday party for my BFF. ๐ฅณ Sunday โ Drove 2 hours to see my niece get baptized and have lunch with the family. Got home just in time to see my youngest son for about an hour before he left to go back out of town for work. Heโs a lineman and has been gone working storm restoration in Indiana for 3 weeks. And you know what? Iโm completely okay with it. ๐๐ฉท Weโll celebrate my birthday all together soon. Whatโs so special about that? Just a few months ago, I was so sick and dealing with extreme anxiety, depressionโall the things. I probably wouldโve cried the whole weekend because it didnโt go the way I had pictured it. And with that many things packed into one weekend, I probably wouldโve gotten overwhelmed and not wanted to do ANY of it. ๐ But Iโm flipping the script. ๐ฉท So what if I didnโt get all of my kids in one room at the same time? I GOT TO SEE ALL 3 OF THEM. ๐ฅฐ I got to love on them. I got to feel ridiculously proud of them. We had people stop us at the game just to tell us how much they love Coach Hood. ๐ฉท Tucker came home with stories about the people theyโve gotten power back to after WEEKS without it. And my DIL and I got to sit together, catch up, and celebrate that big win. That sounds like a pretty dang good birthday weekend to me. ๐ฅฐ I am sooooo thankful for @Aleiah Barker and Be Well! Sheโs helping me heal my gut, change my mindset, and find my happy again. ๐ฉท And THAT might just be the best birthday gift of all.๐
