Hey friends, I know I’ve been quiet for a bit. Life has dealt us a big curve ball & Im not ready to share yet, but will still accept prayers for strength, acceptance & future thriving for my family. BUT! In the midst of the chaos, I was able to hit a big goal. And my P&E bestie @Lisa Browning was there to do it with me! Earlier this year, when @Ashlynn Dohman asked us what our 2026 Hard Thing was, I pondered Dunn rapid, a class II rapid on the Rogue. I even said it out loud, before I changed my mind and said Hood to Coast. I hadn’t given it much thought after we sold our HTC team, but over the 7/4 🇺🇸 weekend, on Lisa’s family’s Gone Rogue Adventure, she & I took the IK not only thru Dunn, but also thru the bigger Galice Rapid, not only once, but twice! It was SO MUCH FUN! And I wasn’t even scared! She’s definitely an awesome partner in the kayak & I’m so happy we did it together! I’m grateful for the lower water level, not sure I’d have committed if it was bigger. So proud of us! It’s a good reminder that I’ve got this. I can do hard things. 🩵☀️💦 On & off the river.
