It finally feels like fall is starting to arrive here on Long Island. The temperature has dropped enough that yesterday I started rotating the closet. The sweaters are back. The lighter layers are moving forward. And before long, it will be time to start changing the hats as well. While I'm not a fan of the cold, I do enjoy breaking out the cooler weather clothing. There is something fun about seeing clothes again that have been tucked away for months. In a strange way, it almost feels like getting a new wardrobe without actually buying anything. Today felt like the perfect day to start easing into it. Grey trousers, a white shirt, navy sweater, suede loafers, and a lightweight quilted vest when I need another layer. Comfortable, practical, and very much in that transition between seasons. One of the things I enjoy most about having a seasonal wardrobe is that it keeps things fresh. You get to enjoy summer clothing while it lasts, then just as you are ready for a change, the heavier fabrics, sweaters, jackets, and different colors start coming back into rotation. It is another reminder that enjoying what you already own can be every bit as satisfying as chasing something new. For now, I’m happy to see some old friends returning to the closet. 😎 Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!!
