Amazon Ads...Are they worth it?!
What do I need to know about running Amazon Ads for the first time? Is there an ideal time/day? Do I need to have a certain amount of reviews on my book before advertising?

A fellow math wiz. Maybe I’m wrong. But it seems like there are lots of other strategies that will likely pay off better regarding discoverability than placing ads.
What’s one reader-growth strategy you wish you had tried sooner?
I have been thinking about how much time we can spend trying different things to get our books in front of the right readers. Sometimes something works, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes we discover something that makes us wonder why we didn’t try it sooner. 😅 For those of you who have been working on growing your readership, what’s one thing you started doing that actually made a difference? It could be something simple like building your email list, being more consistent on social media, connecting with other authors, getting involved in reader communities, running ads, doing promotions, or something completely different. I’d especially love to hear from authors who tried something and thought, “I really wish I had started doing this earlier.” What’s yours?

Writing my first book 60 years ago. I don’t think there is one strategy. It seems clear to me that we need to move all the strategies along. Doing each will capture more eyeballs. The Author Launch Kit advises these. My plan is to simply do what ALK says to do.
Give away your audiobook on Spotify!!!
I'm shocked and so happy! It appears that Spotify is now allowing authors to give away 1,000 audiobooks, at no cost to them. It was 100, now it's 1,000! Can every one say YAY!!!!!!!!

Amazon Providing Bulk Discounts - How's That Work
First, continued thanks to Julie and Booklaunchers! Your investment of time and talents in our efforts are paying off. We are especially getting lots of attention for the book cover you created! Thanks! We just had a client purchase 73 copies of our book, The Neurodiversity Connection, for their organization. They said they got a bulk discount from Amazon. I'm wanting to learn how that works. I understand our royalties remain the same. What criteria does Amazon use and can I promote this concept with other clients.

@Joy Young Are you not on Ingram to get distribution to book stores?

@Joy Young I'm close to publishing my first book, so not much experience to help you with.
Sinai.ai - Worth it?
Hey, @Julie Broad I haven't been keeping up in Skool, but I think you mentioned Sinai.ai in a post or stream a little while back. I must've signed up for their list because I just got the notification that they're launched. I signed up and was considering contacting them to get my book (Be a Nerd That Talks Good) on there, since I also published the earlier this year. I noticed Self-Publish and Succeed was listed. 1) Did you work directly with them on getting it listed? 2) How was the process? 3) Worth it? ;) Inquiring minds want to know.

I escaped MIT as an EE. Now retired, I’m doing the van-life, hiking trails and writing books to share what I’ve learned before I check out.
