This one's just for fun!
Hey everyone, today has been a full day of recording and editing video's for here in Skool, and for some of our other social media platforms. I'm taking a break now and wanted to just do something for fun in here for you all. So here's a bit of something I'm working on at the moment, I've only got a few final ideas in here, but for the most part I'm just improvising and jamming. Figured you might get a kick out of seeing me struggle haha! Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Mike will be around a bit, but he and his family are on a trip right now so we will have to just keep our eye's out for him. Don't worry though, I'm here! See you tomorrow with a quick 5 minute lesson, and then again on Friday will a longer one! -B

Very nice! I can only hope to be able to "struggle" through something like that one day and make it sound so good! It's something to work toward. Keep on Rockin amigo!
I'll be back next week!
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been here as often as I'd like this week. We had a family emergency yesterday and my wife and I are just taking a little time to process and grieve. As a result, I haven't sat down to make any video's this week, but I will get back to the usual next week. Thank you for your understanding. In the meantime, I did have a quick 5 minute lesson done already and it is uploaded into the classroom section titled "5-Minute Lessons". Here's the link: https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4000ef63?md=36323bec1b394b958d00620f791b1b1e It's all about using drone strings and single string lead lines for practice, or even to make your solo guitar sound a bit more full, like a self accompaniment. Give it a try yourself and I hope everyone has a great rest of their week. Thank you all again, I'll see you next week! -Ben

I thought that sounded pretty darn good! I like it!
Fading!
Hey everybody! I just wanted to post one more for the weekend. I’ve been working on this for a little bit and finally found a decent backing track to play it with. I got off to a rocky start getting synced with the track but I hope you like it! Suggestions are very welcome.

Thanks Mike! I was playing my acoustic while I was on the road. I think that helped a bit!

Ain’t Talkin Bout It!
Hi everybody! I’m finally back from my flying job and thought I would just jump right in with Ben’s Riff of the Week from before I split. I haven’t had a chance to play much so it’s a bit sloppy and the rhythm needs work but I couldn’t wait! Here you go! It’s good to be back!

New Practice video about Backing Tracks!
Hey guys, I would've had this posted sooner, but my internet has been out all day. That's a bummer for someone who works online haha! But its back soo...... Here's a new video all about how you SHOULD be using backing tracks! https://www.skool.com/intermediate-guitar/classroom/4f74be2f?md=ad59e07022b14504a5aed2e8a8367f62 Stop thinking in scales and start thinking about the chords!!!! They will guide you like Yoda did for Luke, and make your playing sound forceful....ok dumb joke haha! So check this one out, let me know if you have any questions, and get to those backing tracks with a whole new mindset and start making some progress! -Ben

Such a great reminder of what we were working on before I left town on my great adventure! My brain forgot the importance of practicing following the chord progressions, and when I saw this, it came roaring back! Thanks for pulling me back in!!
