Snapshot Section 2 🤯
Section 2 of my Snapshot just hit different. I realised the thing I've been calling "low self-esteem" my whole life is actually grief - for the engineer I never became, the marriages that ended, the authentic self I lost while shape-shifting to fit in. I didn't even know my life had been "a play" until someone helped me see it.

@Jan Jaap van Noort 💪🏼 It's so weird how the snapshot hits, isn't it. It was a hard read for me but one that definately made me sit up and take notice. I feel like someone has looked deep into my soul and put onto paper that which my authentic self was trying to hide from. I can't ignore it any longer 💜
Cracked open by a late diagnosis
Just finished all 3 sections of my ADHD Snapshot and realised something I've been hiding from myself: I've spent years preaching "know yourself, love yourself" to other people while never once practising it on me. Diagnosis cracked it open. Now I'm watching my "curious academic brain" finally point inward instead of outward and it's terrifying.

Day 5 option - personal video
This is crazy. I recorded some thoughts... and I'm sharing the video. Usually I'd do half drafts, wonder if its good enough, and run away, try again maybe, end up with a bunch of half baked versions. Then let it go. But this time I'm just going to do it. Because this community feels different. It feels safer, somehow. That's thanks to you Jim, and everyone here. Thank you for being here, for the easy acceptance, and encouragement. It's really quite amazing. My video probably should be shorter, but I'm just going to share it, while my courage is up. I tend to be soft spoken and not always clear. I hope it's clear enough. It says some things that are worth saying, I think. And hopefully it might encourage someone. If you just want the quick summary, it's: "I got encouraged". 😊

At 53, I am finally beginning to focus on myself. Mum would have been so proud.
