Reflux / Diet modification / Weight loss
Hi @Maurice Daher I am thinking I need to modify my diet. I have had several reflux flares I am struggling to control. I think it was down to eating dairy, and beef burgers. The fat may have been too much. I have had to drop kcal again. Since Feb time I have been keeping to about 124g protein a day but calorie wise I am constantly so low and I have lost too much weight. I am now about 53kg and I am concerned. Can I add anything that won’t flare reflux and stop weight loss? I also can’t afford to keep flaring this reflux as I am concerned about my oesophagus? Also, I didn’t have a period this month which has never happened. I still want to be animal based. At this point what is the best option. On the plus side, my stool Colour has improved. It has been yellowish for the longest time. Although I still have runny stool it is now mostly brown. Am I right to putting this down to taurine and glycine after meals?

@Rachel Rose wishing you well. This sounds super hard right now, I sure hope things turn around soon for you.
Post Menopausal Impacts to Bone Density
@Maurice Daher - In February 2025, I had a DEXA Bone scan. Results indicated that I had osteopenia in the lumbar spine (T-score -1.3), the lowest femoral neck (T-score -1.7) and left proximal femur (T-score -1.1). I was shocked when I received these results. From 1998 through 2012, I was an avid swimmer (daily yardage of 3,000 - 4,500), runner and cyclist. In 2013, I started Crossfit and since then, have been regularly (4- 6 times per week) doing compound lifts, calisthenics, gymnastics, running, etc. How can it be that I have osteopenia after 10+ years of doing the critical exercise and weightlifting routines? I wasn't consuming foods with any preservatives, added sugars, wheat/gluten, alcohol, chemicals, etc. for 12+ years. I was eating primarily lean protein since 2000 until August 2024 when I transitioned to carnivore. I scanned my blood test results and became angry when I saw that my primary doctor nor OBGYN ever prompted me to have a Vitamin D test run. On my own initiative, I ran my Vitamin D in December 2024 and found it to be low - 36. I finally started taking a D3/K2 supplement in mid-2025 and my Vitamin D is now in the mid-to-high 70s range. I just learned that a good friend was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis with T-score of -3.5. She was also diagnosed with idiopathic hypercalciuria - a condition that causes bone demineralization. She is losing inches of height almost overnight. She is only 66 years of age. I'm now concerned that even though I've been diligently performing the important exercises for women to prevent osteoporosis, the low Vitamin D levels that I've had for years might have damaged me permanently. My friend took a 24-hour urine test which identifies the level of calcium in one's urine and she encouraged me to have this test run to determine if I may have this condition. Maurice - Are you familiar with this 24-hr urine test? Do you recommend that women pursue this test? Or are there other blood markers that we should focus on specific to our bone health? Ulta Labs quotes the test for $99.

Fasting With Control: Signals, Not Struggle
I fast with intention. I do not guess. I observe. Hunger is not an emergency. It is a signal. I learn from it. I do not panic when discomfort appears. I assess. I adjust. I continue with control. Fasting is not about force. It is about stability. It is about timing. It is about awareness. I do not chase extremes. I build consistency. I build structure. I build resilience. When energy drops, I pay attention. When signals shift, I respond. I do not ignore feedback. Electrolytes matter. Hydration matters. Sleep matters. I respect the system. I do not compare my fast to others. I follow my biology. I follow my response. I follow what works. Breaking the fast is part of the fast. I do it with control. I do it with purpose. I do it without excess. I am not proving anything. I am building something. Discipline is quiet. Progress is steady. Adaptation is earned. Fasting is a tool. I use it with precision. I use it with awareness. I stay focused. I stay consistent. I stay in control. I am not reacting. I am directing. I trust you are progressing well without major issues, and if anything comes up, I am here to guide you.

@Thomas Gustafsson agreed!!! With carnivore I’m not constantly thinking about what I’m going to eat next. Just went for dinner and a show with friends tonight. I finished my second meal at home by 3pm… didn’t bother me even a smidge to enjoy a “meal out” and I just had soda water. Crazy cool super power!!

Module 1 - Class 7 Creatine -> Brain, Heart
It’s not that your body is weak. It’s that your energy is unstable. When energy is unstable: Everything feels off. - brain - heart - mood - performance Creatine restores stability. And when energy is stable… Everything starts to work again. Stability is not motivation. It’s biology.
