$60 per session for four or eight session packages. $50 per session for a 12 session package. It’s roughly a 50/50 mix of clients in either bucket. Partner and small group is $30 per person in four or eight session packages.
Client of the Week - Invested Strength Studio
This week's Client of the Week is Megan Costilow, co-owner of Invested Strength Studio in Naperville, Illinois. Megan opened her studio in September 2025. Less than a year later, they're already on track for around $250,000 in revenue this year. Here's what's happening: - Private, one-on-one strength training in just 20 minutes, 2x/week. - Built around a focused HIT protocol using MedX equipment. - Megan lost 113+ pounds herself and built the studio partly from her own experience of discovering the importance of strength training to hold on to muscle. - Created a premium, appointment-only experience with the trainer beside the client for every rep. - And they're still less than one year into the business. From discovering HIT through HIB to building a ~$250K/year strength training business. And she's only getting started. If Megan's story resonates with you, just comment "Invested" and I'll send you all the details.

@Tom Miller 30 minutes. I think it is excessive for the clients I work with, and 20 minutes (5-6 exercises) would be fine. I also have accumulated 12 machines, so I could offer a Workout A and B in 20 minutes twice a week.

@Lawrence Neal thanks, I’ll check this out. Fear is definitely a factor when considering walking away from a stable corporate job for a small business.

Dante’s DC program was my first exposure to high intensity, brief, and infrequent exercise, although he doesn’t claim that it is “HIT.” Somebody told me about it in a gym 15 years ago, and I didn’t think much of it until I got older and was getting exhausted from traditional multiset training. It’s pretty rigid, and not very creative, but it is a solid HIT program.

@Lawrence Neal this was a great discussion, and I appreciate you asking him those questions. I agree with the consensus that strength testing has more value than body composition testing in this business. If a studio has a dedicated body composition program as their focus, which includes some sort of nutrition partner or expert-backed program (i.e. Ellington Darden), that would make more sense.
