@Maggie Blue Texas is not an independent country. It doesn't matter where the Russian language started; it matters which language people like to speak where they live. Ukraine is an independent country, and it's ridiculous to even debate moral equivalency when it comes to Russia/Ukraine. Maidan was a popular revolution to free oneself from Russian shackles; the response was a covert military invasion of Crimea and support for astroturfed separatist movements in Donbas. Europe should have declared war on Russia in 2014. The focus on Ukrainian culture and language is completely natural and one reason why nations exist on this earth. Budapest Memorandum promised territorial integrity to Ukraine, and Russia violated it in 2014. There is no debate. Ukraine did not invade Russia in February 2022, but Russia invaded Ukraine. THERE IS NO DEBATE. Not a single Russian soldier had to die if Russia had respected Ukrainian sovereignty. Now I'm willing to kill as many Russians as necessary for these motherfuckers to understand. It seems violence is the only language they speak. Many countries have internal problems like corruption. I don't know why this should have any relevance for judging this conflict. Can you Russian apologetics just fuck off, please? If you like Russia so much, why don't you try to conquer some Ukrainian land and get blown to pieces? I'd call that justice
