now I'm wondering if I got it right
I posted my pricing a few weeks back and got some real talk: the $99 to $197 jump felt like too much of a gap. People couldn't see why VIP was worth it. So I went back and restructured everything around what you actually need at each level. Free Learn AI hands-on. Build something. Hang with other builders doing the same. Premium ($99/mo) Get your first client in 7 days. Stop spinning. Land something real. VIP ($197/mo) Weekly 1:1 calls to get unstuck fast + full recording library Proven client flow system (never hunt for your next deal) Pricing strategy + closing templates to raise rates confidently Personal brand playbook (attract clients without outreach) Business scaling roadmap (1-person → multiple revenue streams) Full community access + option to build your own The idea is simple: Premium gets you your first client. VIP helps you turn that into an actual business. I'm also testing $149 for the middle tier instead of $99. Makes VIP feel like less of a stretch when you're already there. If you run a paid community, I'd actually like to know: does this feel better? What would you change? I'm genuinely curious what lands with you.

Keep us posted, thanks for sharing.
its important to ask now
Sharing this because I know a bunch of you are figuring out your own pricing too. I set my community up with 3 tiers a while back. Free tier for people learning AI hands-on. $99/mo for people who want to move fast and land a client soon. $197/mo for people ready to scale past that and maybe build their own community down the line. It's been running for a bit now and I want an outside take on it, not just my own members' opinions. If you run a paid community, I'd genuinely like your read on this. Does the gap between $99 and $197 make sense to you? Is there something you'd add or cut? Anything that feels off from a positioning standpoint?

@Muskan Ahlawat There’s a pricing concept called the Decoy Effect. The idea is to price the middle option close enough to the premium option that the premium tier starts to feel like the obvious value. So instead of: Free → $99 → $197 You might try something like: Free → $149 → $197 At that point the customer starts thinking, “If I’m already spending $149, for another $48 I might as well get the top tier.” Of course, the value difference has to support it, but if $197 is the tier you really want people choosing, I’d experiment with making the middle tier help sell it. It is common in the US
🎙️ BEHIND THE BUILD: Michael Wacht Let Us ALL the Way In
What happens when you ask an experienced builder: "Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?" You'd better be ready for the answer. 😂 We recently went Behind the Build with @Michael Wacht, builder of AI Bits and Pieces and Lone Wolf AI League. And Michael shared A LOT. We talked community growth. Free vs. paid. Finding members outside Skool. Engagement. YouTube and LinkedIn. AI. Monetization. Charitable giving. What he'd do differently. And, because apparently we wanted the FULL Behind the Build experience... our technology decided to misbehave, too. 😂 Michael? Total champ. He came to the rescue, got us back on track, and then kept right on sharing. And there was SO much worth sharing. 💰 One lesson? Free doesn't automatically lead to paid. Michael has built AI Bits and Pieces to roughly 850 members. But if he were starting again with the ultimate goal of building a premium community? He'd think differently about starting freemium. Because the people attracted by free aren't automatically the same people who will eventually pay. That led us to a question every builder should probably ask: Are you attracting the people you want today... or the people you'll eventually want as customers? Those may not be the same people. ❤️ Then Michael made us think differently about VALUE. Through his Learn With Your Whole Heart initiative, Michael donates 30% of subscription fees, after platform and credit-card costs, to charitable organizations. One of his Premium members told him something fascinating. The charitable component was a big reason he chose the annual plan. Read that again. It wasn't another course. Another feature. Another bonus. What Michael stood for became part of the value that member was choosing. Now THAT gave us something to chew on. 🌎 And where are your people finding YOU? Michael doesn't expect Skool to do all the work of finding members. We talked LinkedIn. YouTube. Shorts. Search.

@Jewels Sherriff If it is possible to pay things forward or help someone or an animal that’s what it is all about.

Drop Your Skool Community Card and Link to Your Own Community
It's our 60 day celebration party here on Skool, and since we're going live at the top of every hour, we figured we'd run something simple alongside it. In the comments, drop your community card (aka profile image) and your own about page link. That's it, nothing else. The idea is to help everyone see what everyone else is building, and it makes it a lot easier for us to spot you when your ads come across our feeds. As a little bonus, I'll be running some of your cards through a few creative variations. Think of it as a fun what if, not a critique. (I'm even wearing my creativity shirt) So if your community is up and running, post your about page link and attach your current community card below.

Let's Welcome Des! 🎉
@Des Dreckett Welcome to Skoolology! 😊 So good to see you here! I remember you from U2U, and I’ve followed bits and pieces of your YouTube journey, too. You’ve been busy building and experimenting! I smiled when I saw your 30-day win... more traffic. Nice and specific. With everything you’ve already been testing around YouTube and community, I think there could be some really interesting conversations around that here. Skoolology is very much a place where we learn from one another, test things, share what we're seeing, and figure out what actually works. Really glad you found your way here, Des. We're looking forward to learning more about what you’re building and where you want to take it. 💙
