I missed the last few calls and will watch the replay. Thanks Dane for this course - I feel proud that I've been super committed to regular posting and content seems to be resonating. I feel like I've got much more brave, honest and sharing of my full self. I've been posting about 3 times a week for 2 months and now am committing to post 5 times a week for the next 2 months and starting to sell a group offer in September. Wishing everyone the best with their work getting out there 💕

💎 Final Journal Prompt • What this has been like for me.
This Course gave me the breakthrough I was looking for. I've been online, creating content since 2006. Of course, it wasn't called that way back then, it was blogging. My first blog was Be Conscious Now, and I started it two years after I'd gone through a life-shattering portal, bang on my Saturn Return. I had a massive awakening that ended with me in a deep trance, speaking languages I didn't know, doing prostrations to the Sun God Ra on the floor of the psychiatrist's office at the Lion's Gate Hospital Acute Psych Ward while the psychiatrist & my fiancé watched. My entire life imploded, my fiancé broke up with me, and I had to return to NZ, which I absolutely did not want to do. And I had no idea what had happened, only that it was something "spiritual", even though the doctors had told me I was bipolar. When I started blogging, it was a way to claim the experience, blast through any shame, and write into the heart of my experience, and my journey as a yoga practitioner and then teacher. No one I knew read blogs, it was mostly an American phenomenon, and I felt anonymous and safe to share my inner world and be seen. That blog eventually morphed into The Yoga Lunchbox, an online yoga magazine I ran for 10 years, where I continued to share my journey on the path in a raw and unfiltered way. All of this meant that the way I engaged with social media - I joined Facebook in 2008, YouTube around 2010, Instagram in 2016 - was very much in this vulnerable share kinda way. (Like this 😂.) But now, in 2026, I'm not the same; the online world is not the same, the algos rule the roost, and I'd lost direction, inspiration and clarity on how to show up online. If my business didn't still require it, maybe I wouldn't even, at all. That pattern, though, was so ingrained from 15+ years - the goat track became a major 6-lane highway with no exits. This Course helped me see the exit looming so I could take it, and get off the vulnerable share treadmill. At heart, one of my passions and skills is being an educator. I geek out and fully immerse in worlds, and LOVE to share that with other people.

Good luck with it all 💕
Lighting
Who are the excellent lighting people and can you share advice? I feel like I have a good eye for beauty and lighting yet feel I look more haggard than many online! (I don't actually think I am in real life). What are these youthful good lighting tricks? I care less about looking young and more interested in the quality and tone I see in other's videos.

@Dane Tomas okay thanks
My Learnings from 21 Days of Taking Action
Day 1 1. People are selfish (no judgment). People consume content through the lens of “What’s in it for me?” One way to become successful as a creator is to create content that genuinely serves, interests, or helps them. 2. Being in the arena accelerates growth. It teaches you what to value. Once you’re playing, the game’s values begin to shape you. In content creation, once you start publishing consistently, you begin to care about hooks, editing, storytelling, and lighting because you’ve entered an environment where those things matter.

Oh this was good to read thanks @Ceylan Kara Would love to hear your take on how to create content that interests or serves... I feel like I'm trying to world build through my content and magnetise through people having an insight into how I live but I also need to add more context to how I actually work I think
