New member says hello!
Hi all! I found this Forum when Carlos mentioned "Mark Wildman" on his forum introduction. I've actually trying to follow Mark's tetris method for my kettlebell training when I started training during bicep overuse rehab. I'm here for Carlo's mace classroom. I have only one light mace and using it mainly for mobility and forearm strength purposes. Especially lateral mace Swing makes wonders to my arms and offers different and recovering activation after kettlebell workouts. Today is active rest day: I'm going to learn this complex Shoulder press to Alt mace 360 diag bottom

@Heli Kuru Nicely done, Heli. You look comfortable with that mace. Great work.

@Heli Kuru Yes. I haven't used any mace flows yet, focusing more on 360s at the moment.
Clubbell Progression
How many years will it take me to get to 16kg clubs? And at what point should I start doing double heavy club training?

How many years will it take me to get to 16kg clubs? And at what point should I start doing double heavy club training? The answer to those can only depend on you, your age, strength, motivation, capability, the exercises you want to use 16 kg clubS with (I note the plural 's'), etc. I can handle a single 12 kg club in some 2 handed exercises, but there's one flow exercise I do (5 x 2 minutes with 2 minute rest) where I can only do 2 x 4 kg clubs for the last set, and 2 x 2 kg for the remainder. My grip's just not there to do 2 x 4 kgs throughout. So many variables involved but what's important is to take your time and build up to it slowly. If you don't, then you not only risk injury to muscles and the like, but also to your 'slower' strengthening parts like tendons and ligaments, which are a bugger to heal when they tear (and I speak from experience on this one). Take your time.

@Pedro Valles I've just started using them, and like them also.
Glad to be here...
Hey everyone, glad to be here. I've been using kettlebells and clubs for a few years now but am quite new to maces. (I achieved Rank 1 in the IKO 10-minutes Kettlebell Snatch competition, 'Legends' (over 60) category with a 12 kg earlier this year - 222 reps). When I started with clubs, the Adex videos were a go-to for me. Since then, I've also purchased the Adex skills and movement library, and am slowly working through it. Regarding maces, I actually had a 3/4 full bag of leftover cement in my shed for way too long and then saw a video on how to make your own gada... Well, as it does, it kinda snowballed from there. :D I'm from the UK but live in NE Thailand; have a great, beautiful, intelligent, and very understanding wife who doesn't bat an eyelid when the next mace, kb, club, or Bulgarian Bag gets delivered; 4 dogs; and am both blessed and fully grateful to have what we have. Great to be here. = = = = = This morning's training: - 10 minutes rope flow - 10 minutes mace 360s (6 kg, 50 BPM cadence) - 3 x 1 min rounds on the heavy bag (1 minute rest) https://youtu.be/LaArTdobZ00?si=WWmP1XuBKui09a8F
