F*ck this marketing thing already! I'm going back to cake.
****UPDATE: I made the link. You can register here now .... A few years ago I had a side gig making fun characters out of little balls of cake. As halloween approaches (yes, it's coming!!) I'm thinking of bringing these little vampires back in a big way. Because GAWD, is it hard to get a foothold in marketing right now. But I know there are still plenty of businesses trying to make it out there, so I've planned a webby thing for September 25, at 11am Eastern time. The title: What's My Funnel? The topic: What's the best way to sell your program, product, or service? Is it through 1:1 networking, cold-calling, old-fashioned letter campaigns, paid ads, or bribing folks with little balls of cake? (I actually hadn't considered that one but now that I mention it, hmmm.... I could be onto something!) Because the thing that no guru tells you EVAHHHH, is that THEIR exact formula or framework works for THEM because of who they are, what they value, what they're selling, and how they like to communicate. But where a 2-call close process might be fantasic for them, it's not going to work for you if you're having to force it down like a canned brussels sprout. 🤮 I haven't created a sign-up page for the workshop yet, but if you're curious, comment below and I'll circle back with the link as soon as I get my shit together and stop thinking about cake. In the meantime, if you have a marketing conundrum and want to get a fresh perspective on it... grab one of my 20-minute catapult calls. We'll talk through your problem and prioritize your options. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/emqAybCF While you go do that, I might have to go bake a cake. The pull is real. While I dither.. let me know what I should do?

🚦 RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT: We're Back! And Running Through Tomorrow at Midnight!
New round starts now! This one wraps up tomorrow at midnight CST, so don't sleep on it. ⚠️ 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: links need to be earned! ONLY drop your link once you've gotten 2+ green lights from other members. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆: Drop what you're working on — one-liner, graphic, CTA, whatever you want eyes on. Then go give feedback on a few others (be generous and people will be generous to you) using the light system: 🔴 Needs work — vague, doesn't land, missing the hook 🟡 Getting there — good bones, but something's holding it back 🟢 GREEN LIGHT — this is clear and ready to go 📋 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘀: Copy and paste your About Page text directly into your comment, or drop a screenshot — 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨. Once you've earned 2 green lights, edit your original comment to add "✅ UPDATED after receiving 2 green lights" and then you're welcome to add your link. Give feedback before you ask for it — the best rounds are the ones where everyone's playing both sides. 🏆 Shoutout to last round's winner: @Lisa Drennon! Fitting because this is her favorite game! She showed up big, giving thoughtful, specific feedback to 12 different members — the most of anyone in the thread. That's what winning this game is all about: showing up and helping others. Honorable mentions: @Nicole Wright, @Liisa Reimann, and @Cheri Hayashi — all three brought serious value to the thread too and I appreciate each and every one of them! Every week we have a winner, and whoever gives the most valuable feedback this round earns a 24-hour pinned post. Let's go — who's getting the green light before midnight tomorrow?! 🚦

@Amanda Mirrlees I think the biggest change I’d make is your main headline. ‘Chronic Pain Specialist’ tells me what you are, but not what you can do for me. I’d make that space say something like ‘Helping vintage women move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain.’ Then I immediately know why I should keep reading

@Lisa Viviers okay that actually changes things a bit for me. I like that alot! I wonder if you can fit that tidbit of information somewhere into your story because that made it click for me!
Does colouring relax you?
I’ve been really enjoying the simplicity of a beautiful colouring page and some pencil crayons... About 5-10 minutes each night before I go to sleep has been so relaxing the past few days!! So I started playing with my Chatty and came up with these to accompany my 365 day journalling plan - do they appeal to you? There are three “Boldness” ones cause I was trying to have Chatty refine a few things but I love each of them so don’t waste to gatekeep what I've already got 😆🤩 Would you be interested in purchasing these? Is there anything that would make them better and/or worth purchasing if colouring is your jam?
