“In The Now” Decisions...
HAPPY OCTOBER 🎃 This week, we’re simply focusing on the present moment—on the decision you can make right now that will move you closer to the person you desire to be. Let’s look at some examples of decisions you might face this week that are “in the now” decisions ⬇️ 📌When you wake up, you only have about 20-30 minutes before you have to start getting ready for work. Will you scroll Instagram, or will you squeeze in some movement? 📌There’s a birthday celebration at work, and you can choose to eat birthday cake or grab the healthy snack you brought to work. (This isn’t to say you should never eat the birthday cake, but ask yourself, “Does a coworker’s birthday justify the splurge?”) 📌You’re forced to pull through the drive-thru one evening. Do you have to eat the French fries or can you choose a healthier side? The reality is that we have thousands of decisions to make every day. No wonder we want to make the easiest decision when it comes to our nutrition. I get it. But again, making the next right step is the secret sauce for long-term success! 💯

Recipe Tuesday!
TAKING ACTION: ✅Read today’s post and post your pictures of your TWO fruits and/or veggies today in the comments! Let me know if you have any questions! ✅Check your pantry and chuck at least one item that contains processed sugar today! Happy Tuesday, friends! As I mentioned yesterday, we’re going to be talking about all things sugar this month—but before we get too far into it, let’s go ahead and cover the details of our monthly Color Challenge so you can get started! 🌈 As you know, our annual Sugar Detox is at the end of the month, but until then, I encourage you to slowly start reducing your processed sugar intake, which will reduce the frequency and severity of sugar spikes. I’m going to educate you on why this is important throughout the month. The first thing you need to know is that all sugar isn’t bad. In fact, your body needs sugar, but it doesn’t need it in the form of processed sugar. Instead, fruits and vegetables give you sugar packaged with fiber, water, and nutrients—so it enters your bloodstream more slowly than foods with processed sugars. The slower rise helps your body use the sugar for energy instead of sending insulin on a rollercoaster. 🎢 ⭐ To avoid overwhelm, our Color Challenge will start super simple this week and will change as we get further into the month. For this week’s Color Challenge, the goal is to consume at least TWO colorful fruits and/or veggies every day. This can be two fruits, two vegetables, or a combination of the two. We start today and end on Sunday. Please post your picture proof in the comments every day, and I will tally the totals on my end! Need a good starting place? 2020 Pregnancy vs 2026 Pregnancy
LATTERLY look like a different person! 2020 I ate whatever I wanted and of course the standard American diet and you can LITERALLY see how inflamed I was at the end of my pregnancy. Now I focus on whole foods (I lost 50 lbs in 2 almost 3 years before this pregnancy but I was focused on feeling and looking healthy the weight loss was an added bonus) and worked out before pregnancy (pain in my pelvis made me realize it was time to take a break from strength training). I developed preeclampsia a week before my due date with my first daughter this time I have lowered my risk of developing preeclampsia because of my lifestyle pre pregnancy. 💕 I am still able to wear my wedding rings at 33 weeks and then I had to ditch them a long time ago! I put them on for my maternity pics and it was a struggle getting them off after.

Apple Crumble
Here’s a simple and fast desert recipe that is a healthier option! My apples were a little too ripe and I didn’t realize till I did it that I didn’t add enough almond flour but it still turned out so good! My mom and I made this in the past for thanksgiving a few years back and it was better then when we had actual fresh apples and the right amount of almond flour. 🤣 I had a bunch of apples getting ready to go had so I decided to make this recipe. I also didn’t peel the apples but I didn’t think they needed to be. 🤷🏽‍♀️
