TAKING ACTION:
✅Tomorrow is our optional 24-hour fast. I’ll give you tips for success in tomorrow’s post. If you’re new here and unsure about our 24-hour fast, let’s chat below!
It’s Feast Day, and you know what that means! We are going to consume about 25% more nutrients today.
As mentioned yesterday, there are physiological/fat-loss benefits that occur when participating in Feast Day; however, we’re talking about mindset this week, so today, I want to give you some of the psychological benefits that come along with it:
1. Strategically eating more interrupts deprivation psychology and lowers the mental cost of dieting.
2. It weakens rigid “good food/bad food” or all-or-nothing thinking.
3. It gives you something concrete to look forward to, which protects motivation.
4. It reduces decision fatigue and food-related cognitive load for the day.
Everything we do here benefits both your body and your brain. 🧠
⬇️Helpful Feast Day Tips⬇️
🍽 Break your fast a little earlier than usual today. This will give you more time to consume the extra food today, without leaving you uncomfortably full.
🍽 Eat nutrient-dense (and high-quality) meals. Consider ways to add to each meal (e.g., adding nuts or seeds).
🍽 Have an extra snack—maybe a clean protein shake!
🍽 Don’t stress over the 25% target, and don’t force yourself to eat more if you’re satisfied. Any amount more is beneficial for your metabolism.
