To every parent raising a goalkeeper… you know this one hits different. ❤️⚽️

Your kid chose one of the toughest positions on the field.

The position where mistakes get noticed immediately.

Where one goal can feel personal.

Where people remember the one that got past them… and sometimes forget the five saves they made before it.

And then somehow, after a bad play, a hard game, or a goal they wish they could have back, they have to stand up, pull those gloves on again, and be ready for the very next shot.

That takes courage.

That takes confidence.

That takes a level of resilience most people don’t see from the sidelines.

And as a parent, you feel every damn bit of it with them.

The wins.

The saves.

The mistakes.

The tears.

The pressure.

The moments they doubt themselves.

And the moments they surprise even themselves.

So no, we’re not just raising goalkeepers.

We’re raising kids who are learning how to stand back up when something hurts, trust themselves under pressure, and keep going when everyone is watching.

And THAT is something I’ll be proud of long after the soccer years are over. ❤️🥅
