Hello SEO fam. Keen to hear your thoughts here.. We’ve been doing SEO for a solar client for the last 4–5 months. - Site-wide technical SEO + internal linking - 3–4 x new/updated service/location pages per month - Content/topic strategy + refreshing existing content - Citations + local authority building - Genuine outreach/link building with partners/suppliers - All GBP/local SEO including reviews They’ve now been pitched by another agency specifically around “AI SEO / AEO”, were really impressed by the pitch, and want to trial them for 3 months. However the 'AEO' Agency said to do AEO, they also have to take the SEO over. My understanding is that most AI visibility still comes back to strong SEO fundamentals, with potentially more emphasis on PR and how content is structured. I said 80-90% of the activities is likely overlap but is there anything genuinely different you’d expect a specialist AI SEO agency to be doing that we may be missing? I know it's changing fast, we generally stay pure, follow a select few SEO leaders and ignore the noise but keen to make sure there still isn’t another layer we are missing.
