All 12 keys, three at a time
In Practice Club this week we took one line round the cycle of fourths, but only three keys at a go. I find it's nicer to do things in little sections, because if you aim for all 12 in one run you hit a hard one and end up thinking about something else. And once I bring a line back to a key I know, it feels more natural because I understand the line more.
If 12 keys is something you keep meaning to do and never quite get round to, Practice Club is where we might do that together, live, with me playing it alongside you. Mondays, 6pm UK: https://www.skool.com/jazzviolin/plans
Which keys do you tend to avoid?
