💛 Hope Deferred
Proverbs 13:12 (KJV):
“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.”
Proverbs doesn't say hope deferred makes the promise disappear.
It says it makes the heart sick.
Sometimes what needs attention during the waiting isn't the promise it's the heart carrying the promise.
Jeremiah 17:7-8: "Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord... They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green."
