Settling Into Fall 🍁

The weather is starting to cool just enough that the fall wardrobe is finally getting some proper use.

Today I reached for another one of the Ben Silver sweaters I picked up in Charleston — this rust-colored quarter-zip — and paired it with grey trousers, a checked shirt, and brown shoes.

The colors just felt right for October. Warmer tones. A little more texture. A little more depth.

It is one of the things I enjoy about this time of year. The wardrobe starts changing and I get to fall in love with items again that I haven't seen for several months.

While I'm not a fan of cold, I do enjoy the layering of clothing in the winter and trying new patterns and textures.

The sweaters come back into rotation. The trousers get a little heavier. The colors get richer, and before long, the Panama will give way to the felt hats.

For now, though, we are still in that in-between stretch where you can borrow a little from both seasons.
