Want to get up earlier? This month gives you a chance to make the change easier.
On Sunday 25 October, the UK clocks go BACK one hour.
Here’s how to use it.
Start building a consistent sleep routine now. Pick a wake-up time you can manage, and give yourself enough time in bed.
Let’s say you get used to waking at 5:45 a.m.
When the clocks go back, that same moment becomes 4:45 a.m.
Your body won’t instantly reset just because your phone has changed the time. That can give you a head start on an earlier morning.
The bit you must remember: move your bedtime too.
Asleep at 10:15 p.m. and awake at 5:45 a.m.?
After the change, the equivalent is 9:15 p.m. to 4:45 a.m.
Same seven and a half hours. Earlier start.
Then give that morning a purpose. Lay your kit out. Have your first task ready.
A walk. A ruck. Some writing. A quiet coffee before the house wakes up.
You don’t have to join the 4 a.m. club. Choose a time that works for your life.
Use the clock change as a head start. Build the habit that keeps it going.
What would you do with an hour to yourself in the morning?
