Sunday Night with JP
Good evening, Tribers!
Unfortunately, I'm not feeling well tonight, so we won't be having our usual Sunday live.
But I still want to leave you with a message as we prepare for another week.
REST IS NOT QUITTING.
We talk a lot about discipline.
About showing up.
About keeping promises.
About pushing through when things get difficult.
But there's something equally important that we sometimes forget.
Knowing when to rest is also part of discipline.
We live in a world that constantly tells us to do more.
Work harder. Train harder. Push harder. Achieve more.
And sometimes we start believing that slowing down means we're falling behind.
But think about this...
You cannot keep pouring from an empty cup.
Your body needs recovery.
Your mind needs quiet.
And sometimes the strongest decision you can make is to stop, recover, and give yourself what you actually need.
There is a difference between giving up and giving yourself time to recover.
Giving up says: "I'm done trying."
Rest says: "I'm taking care of myself so I can continue."
And this connects directly to our identity.
If I say I AM healthy, then I need to respect my health.
If I say I AM disciplined, then I need the discipline to recover when necessary.
If I say I AM becoming, then I need to understand that becoming isn't about destroying myself to reach a goal.
It's about building a life I can sustain.
Remember, Tribe...
We are not here to prove how much punishment we can endure.
We're here to become healthier, stronger, more intentional human beings.
And sometimes that means pushing forward.
Sometimes that means slowing down.
The important thing is knowing the difference.
🎯 THIS WEEK'S MISSION: LISTEN AND RESPOND
Every day this week, ask yourself:
"What do I genuinely need today to become the healthiest version of myself?"
Maybe you need movement.
Maybe you need better nutrition.
Maybe you need to put your phone away earlier.
Maybe you need to have a difficult conversation.
Maybe you need proper sleep.
Or maybe you need to stop feeling guilty about taking a necessary rest day.
Whatever it is, respond with intention.
Don't confuse discipline with punishment.
And don't confuse recovery with failure.
Because the goal was never to become somebody who never stops.
The goal is to become somebody who knows how to keep going sustainably.
I AM disciplined.
I AM patient.
I AM listening to my body.
I AM respecting my health.
I AM becoming stronger.
I'll miss seeing everyone tonight, but I'm looking forward to being back with you soon.
Now tell me in the comments:

Have a powerful week, Tribe.
Become who you say you are.
